Hey Don,This is pretty good.
I have no idea what type music you have for it, but I'm hearing a mid to late sixties type of jangly tune going on. A happy thing similar to the feel of say, House at Pooh Corner perhaps performed by The Byrds.
she had no time to spare . had a flat tire....
lol, Don't know if you were trying to be clever with those lines, but no matter, it is pretty clever, and works.
Most will see it as a guy with a crush on his neighbor, and the chorus is easy to figure out without being overly simple.
I see more than the obvious "simple"message. Anyhow.........
Worth a bump, Good writing.
Tony

Hey Tony
Suppose some will see him as a shy wanting neighbor , others as a self-made hero , and some that will take it to the dark side and see him as an opportunistic stalker type .
I had an upbeat sort of tempo in mind , but again the tempo will be set by the reader based on their view of this guy .
Not much serious happening in my writing these days -- meant to be a simple fun piece , glad ya liked it .

Hey Don, I liked it too. Color me dark 'cause I thought you were trying to get across that the "creative" was something like slashing her tires or something. Looked like you had fun writing it , ain't that the point? I guess muses get holiday too, lol Pete
Here we are wracking our brains today to write lyrics that rhyme and if we succeed, they'll end up in time as tommorrow's cliche's... Pete

Hey Pete
If they want him to be a nice guy , then he happened to be in the parking lot . If he is a creative hero then he let the air out himslf . I've had every extreme in comments - that's why it's a bit abstract .
I enjoy writing , and glad you found enjoyemnt reading it .
Don
