Twilight is My Twin
There's a row of birds on an evening wire they harmonize with dusk like a wistful choir hills are painted with lipstick reds and pinks colors are survivors that leave the sun when it sinks
and when my time comes to fade away I hope the friends who grieve, find the mem'ries I leave as colorful as a dying day
for twilight is my twin twilight is my twin
the sun commands half this world's skies but even a prince of time must compromise this world has barrenness...this world has growth but some say death is a mixture of both
I watch fingers of light slip from space when one day meets the ground, another rolls around ready to take its place
and twilight is my twin twilight is my twin the face of decline is the same as mine and ev'ry place I've been is just nightfall wind for twilight twilight... twilight is my twin
weak or strong, right or wrong days get what they deserve they give credit for what fate, they themselves create to whatever seasons they serve
the clouds are a cloak...the birds are quiet now a thin mask of bravery covers my brow some try many directions in their quest but I just followed my hours due west
for why get lost on dead-end trails such detours just delay, the meaning of the day that darkness breathes what light exhales
and twilight is my twin twilight is my twin the face of decline is the same as mine and ev'ry place I've been is just nightfall wind for twilight twilight... twilight is my twin

"If one man can do it, any man can do it. It is true. But the real question is, if one man did it, are you willing to do what it takes to do it as well?" –Brian Austin Whitney
