I'm so sorry to be posting so soon after an absence, heck, y'all may not have even noticed I was gone, but I am posting this today--9-11, as a way to tell you all how important you are in my life, to my life. I've met many of you, and others I just "KNOW" because, well just because we've met somewhere before all this. Whether you know it or not, you all have been through some pretty rough times with me, through reading and supporting and encouraging my writing, you have been with me. So... let me just say: Of My Love Cindy Miller © 2002 VERSE So you don’t have to ask I won’t let one more day pass This moment is already overdue Babe, no matter where you go Your heart should always know Another heart is beating there for you CHORUS You’re the rhythm of The making of The object of ……..My love VERSE On this journey I’ve had dreams But never had the means And things worth having seemed to pass me by But today it’s clear to me The important things are free A loving touch, a knowing wink, a sigh *****(subliminally stolen ) On this journey I have learned From pages I didn’t turn Many things worth having passed me by***** So before this song is through You will know that I love you Cause a second chance may never be mine CHORUS You’re the rhythm of The making of The object of ……..My love BRIDGE The sun won’t set on one more day I haven’t taken the chance to say CHORUS You’re the rhythm of The making of The object of ……..My love the rhythm of, the making of, the object of ….. my love --------------------------------------------- yeh, i know... the bridge only repeats what the rest of it says, but I really want to drive home the point that today won't end without all my Friends knowing how I feel... thank you for indulging me. Breath-taking Tink, Sang every word. I think your bridge is just fine. Someone else may think of something else to add, but I can't. Besides, as I understand it, a bridge should do one of two things (or both) either offer a new piece of information, or a change in the musical direction. Yeah, often they end up doing both, but it ain't the law. (least not mine) Glad to see you back. Puter problems fixed?

Simple but effective, Tink. Me likes, me likes. Two nits for ya-- "Many things worth having passed me by" seems to say the opposite of what you intend it to. It seems like the thought you want to convey there is "Many things I shouldn't have let pass by." And I'd say "That I haven't TAKEN the chance to say" in the bridge. Nice job here! I like this kind of 9-11 lyric better than any that mention the events involved. Anthony ------------------ Anthony's BeSonic site-- Open 24 hours!

Hi Harriet!! Puter problems fixed??? Well, yes... and NO! Pages are taking VERY long to load and I can receive mail just fine, but it's a difficult task to send it out. I don't understand it. I've investigated and it looks like someone may have inadvertantly done something they shouldn't have with something to do with the ethernet card. I think, but I'm not certain. I shall call my ISP soon as I'm home from work early enough that they're not closed!! And I have an email to send you. I got your package in the mail !!! I hope you don't mind me saying it here, cause who knows when I'm going to get an email out to you. Let me say this much while I'm waiting, it's BEAUTIFUL!! My Cassidy was with me when I heard it and she said, "Mommy, mommy!! What is this song, play it again!" It's really beautiful!! Thank you so much for the wonderful remarks regarding this lyric, it sorta popped out and seemed very appropriate for today. I'm glad you don't think the bridge has anything wrong with it, cause it's just what I wanted to say. And thanks for your friendship!! Anthony, Okay, to "unpoetisize" that phrase... On this journey I have learned From pages I didn’t turn Many things worth having passed me by I've learned from not taking chances that many things I really would have liked to have, just passed me by... So before this song is through You will know that I love you Cause a second chance may never be mine So, I don't want to miss that chance again. I'm pretty sure I said it right, no one else has mentioned it, so I think I'll leave it. Took your suggestion on the bridge, thank you. It does sit better that way. Thanks, Tink

Very nice Tink. The lessons and pages lines suggest both in metre and content you have listened to Bob and Chris' Broken hearts one a time or two. Think the babe personalises the piece and I gather from yoiur opener it is meant to be a general statement Tink. last line in that was a bit of a worry too. I hope, no matter where you go Your heart will always know Another heart is beating there for you. Regards. Graham ------------------ http://www.songramp.com/homepage.ez?Who=grahamhenderson

Just got home and yep, Graham, I went and looked at Bob and Chris' song and it musta stuck with me. CRAP! It wasn't intentional, I must have just hung onto it... guess I'll have to rearrange some things. Some things are just sooo good, they won't let go of my brain. the there to replace the just seems to work well, too. Thanks, Tink

Hi Tink, Hope all is well. Nice lyric! I like a lot. You do have a special and wonderful gift for this sort of thing. One question: how could you learn from a book if the pages were left unturned? Or, is there hidden meaning? Just a thought. Ron

I'm such an idiot!! I just replied to like six people here, hit submit and then realized I hadn't filled out my name and password. When I hit the back button, it was gone, it was alllllll gone... and now I'm late for work, so I only have time for one. So... Bobbalicious, you're it! Hey, I'm gonna kill two bobs with one stone and reply to both your threads here. First off, I'm so sorry I lifted that phrase(s) from your song. I guess it was just so beautiful, I hung onto it and used it in my lyric. I've rewritten that verse now, but it's not as good as what you wrote. And hey, thanks also for the invitation to Motel 6 (on me, of course... I mean, my treat... ummmm oh hell, you know what I mean??? I'm sooo bad! ) but thanks so much for your comments regarding my honesty in my writing... it's really the only way I know how to write, Bob. Thank you! Tinkala Z

Thanks Allen and I couldn't agree more with that statement. I told someone recently that I believe that we are all threads of an intricate tapestry, interwoven, mingling pieces of a greater plan. Our universe is all just a matter of reforming connections we've always had, imo.. Thank you also for your nitless critique, I really appreciate it!! Hey Blakester, thanks so much for stopping in and checking this out, it's meant for all those who have become a second family to me. And no family would be complete without you, so I'm very glad you stopped in. Thanks also for the "ditto"... Tink

Hi Cindy, That's a really nice lyric! You always show fragments of your heart, bits of your day to days, and hopes for better things when you write. You really have the "touch". I honestly felt like I knew you long before I hit Dickson. Thanks for the tiny look into you, through your lyrics, your thoughts on this day, and the hug from the real Tink when I got to meet you. T

Hi Folks. It must seem I've neglected this post, and yes, I have. But not of my own doing, this damn computer is just now finally working like it should, or at least like it used to. So I'm here, several days later to thank ya all for your kindness! Hi Ray, of course I consider you part of my extended family!! You are so kind and always have the nicest things to say to me. Thank you so much for your support!! Hey Ron, My point in the pages unturned and learning from them is to be taken figuratively rather than literally. See... perhaps what was learned is that I missed out by not turning the pages. Hope you understand. Thank you for dropping in and for the kind words!! Hey {{{Stan}}}!! Thank YOU for stopping by and reading a lyric that was meant for all my Friends. You were the first songwriting pal I made during this journey, so I'm especially glad you got a chance to read my hug to you!! {{{BIG HUGS}}}! Dawgy!! Thanks for them kind words, ALWAYS love it when you stop in and read my lyrics!! Hi Unka Chuck!! Aawwww... didn't mean to cause the sniffles, but shore am glad it touched you. Thank you SO much for everything!! Hey Idamarie, fiesty lady!! I'm sorta fond of those short choruses... sometimes they pack more of a punch, and when all's ya got to say can be said in a few words, then I'm all for it! Sure appreciate your kind words and support! Miss Pam, Thanks for the read and the six smiley salute, girl!! Means a lot to me! And last, but hardly least... to the sweet man I noticed from across the dark and smokey room... I knew right away you'd be my Friend and the hug just sealed the deal! Thank you for your constant support and encouragement. Some days your words reach right in and soothe me. Thank you for that, and for your friendship!! Thanks everybody!! Tink

Hi there my dear Tinker. I read this lyric a few days ago and couldn't find the right words to comment so I thought I'd wait until I could find something really clever to say and guess what.... you guessed it, still can't find the words I want but you know what they are anyway so I don't have to say anything else, other than I love you.
And as for the man across the smokey room wearing the cap - I tink I saw him first.... Love Jude

Sorry I did not get here sooner Tink but I have only had time to manage Ricki's and mine posting this last week or so.
Real nice work here; that chorus is wonderfully simple and direct..nicely done. And it does make me feel that much better for knowing you, and knowing you appreciate us.
BSHBSH for this one!
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Hi Tink! I just wanted to echo what all the others have been saying - "Awwwwww this is sooo sweeet!" (hope you don't have a copyright on that line, Pam!) How could anyone possibly find a nit with a song like that??? The chorus is mindblowing, it could be a song on its own and i would sing it all the time!! Just asking - how many times is the chorus repeated each time? Is it just the once, or is it sung twice? I would do it four times....or maybe a zillion, that's how much i like it! <G> C ya! Pramod
I used to have an open mind, but my brains just kept falling out...

Hey Jude... I've been wondering about you, dear. You must be pretty busy these days, but I'm soooo glad you stopped to read this as I was about to email it to you, my friend. I was looking at my Pineyfest photos the other day and got a bit misty when I ran across the one of you and I. I miss you. I only wish we had more time together... and yes, Jude, I do think you saw him first and pointed me in that direction. Thanks so much for your friendship and love, and right backatcha Judy!! Luv you! Hi Amelia, Thank you so much for the kind words and smiles this morning. I'm glad it brightened your day. Take care and be good to YOU! Awww Johnjohn... you say such nice things, ya know that? Thank you so much and that double BSH was really wonderful!! BSHBSH backatcha!! Welcome Pramod!! All the way from India, wow! That's so wonderful. You've expanded our family to another corner of the Globe, big big welcome {{{hugs}}} to you!! And thank you so much for the nice things you had to say about this lyric. You can sing this chorus as many times as you like!! I'm guessing it will maybe be repeated three times in various places. Three is my favorite number and all my repeats in a lyric are usually in increments of three. REALLY appreciate your kindness!! And finally, Bean... thank you, thank you for your sweet words. Really brought me a smile!! Thanks all, Tink
