this song has been sitting around for awhile as my wife won't do it. i have no idea what i was thinking when i wrote it. so any ideas are welcomed.
Slow Rollin’ Flame
1. She’s a smoldering ember ready to ignite. If you tend to her needs, she’ll light up the night. Like the phoenix before her she’ll rise from the ashes As the cool breeze of indifference reluctanly passes
CHORUS She’s a slow rollin’ flame, Dancing on desire. She’ll save your soul, Baptism by fire.
2. She’s got passion to burn, an unquenchable thirst, You’ll feel the heat from the fire you won’t be the first Then all your demons will fly, like sparks in the dark. Your patience and care were right on the mark.
REPEAT CHORUS
INSTRUMENTAL
3. There’s a point in time where clarity exists We’re drawn to the flame of love, no one can resist. She’ll invite you into her fire, but you won’t get burned Unless you merge into her flames, never to return.
REPEAT CHORUS

Hi Terry, Like it but also understand why the wife may not want to do it. V-2 on seems like you may be offering her up for others to try and I’m sure that is not the intent. You are talkin' passion so I would drop save your soul in favor of thrill your soul. A few minor changes and she may like it? Good Luck Regards Bill

Terry: I don't think "reluctantly" is the right word given the "unquenchable thirst" line. In fact I'd say,"Cool breeze of indifference quickly passes" if she's ready to ignite again. I think what dissuades me from this lyric, is all the fire similes and metaphors, which get in the way of telling a story about real people. This idea has been done a few times, most recently "Slow Raging Fire" and a song by Brooks and Dunn(forgot the title). /Glen ------------------ "The process of learning is often more important than what is being learned" -----The Kat---- Glen King Music Domains For Sale. http://www.musicdomains.us

Make it into a bloke song (and that wouldn't take much)and she will most likely like to hear it though. If not her, then others will. Lotta blokes would wanna sing a long too me thinks. You got music to this and want, I wouldn't mind having a fiddle with this to see where it went. REgards. Graham ------------------ http://artists3.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Graham_Henderson/

THANKS GUYS FOR THE READ, I'M NOT SURE WHAT I'LL DO WITH THIS ONE. IT'S BEEN AROUND FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, I DID HAVE MUSIC, WAS A BLUESY SOUND,GO FIGURE. I'M KINDA THINKIN IN TERMS OF CHANGING GENDER AS SUGGESTED. BROOKS AND DUNN MUST HAVE STOLE THIS FROM ME BECAUSE I THINK THE LAST COUNTRY SONG I LISTEN TO WAS FROM ONE THE GREATEST BLUES WRITERS EVER HANK WILLIAMS. ANYWAY THANKS FOR RESPONDING...TERRY

This is a updated vision of the original lyrics. I really can't believe this is still on here. It was posted years ago when I was Trush48. I'm back as arealrush!
A Slow Rolling Flame
Verse 1
Heed my warning, She's a snake in the grass
When you hear her rattle you better haul ass
If you hesitate she'll take you by surprise
Inject you with her venom cut you down to size
Verse 2
A slow rolling flame dancing on desire
Calls out your name a baptism by fire
A smoldering ember ready to ignite
Fan the flames ...your hers tonight
Chorus
She's all dolled up and ready to strike
Got her red dress on , wound up tight
When the dress hits the floor , she's in control
She slithers, she shakes, she works the pole
Verse 3
With passion to burn ..unquenchable thirst
She puts you in trance...you won't be the first
Demons will dance like sparks in the dark
Inhibitions will melt ...your senses will arc
Verse 4
When you enter her world of flashing lights
Loud music , exotic creatures of the night
Embrace the experience or run like hell
These are the modern day Jezebels

This one could have a few meanings. When I read the first verse it brought to mind those women who will be super nice to your face yet stab you in the back. As I read on it brought more of a message of fiery sexual seduction. In this case it's the woman who is dominant and the man who experiences unconscious fears as to what her motive may be. Haven't we all know a few like that?
