This board gets so little traffic probably no one will see this, but in case you do....
TONIGHT, wed. 27, Ilona Knopfler and Sean Jones are playing Blues Alley, and I HIGHLY recommended Ilona Knopfler. I am going after reviewing her new CD for jazzreview.com. She is an extraordinary talent. If there is any way you can make this gig and you enjoy jazz vocalists, please go!

I think it's great that you are passionate about this person's music. I just think that this passion and sense of community just isn't there for commercial songwriters. My gut feeling is that they mostly "crank one out" at the behest of the record companies and artists and I bet it feels a bit like selling ones soul. If you enjoyed that night at Blues Alley I think it's great. I bet there was true love for this artist and her songs that can't be found in a 20,000 seat hall. DC has a great music scene, doesn't it Jim Miller Millersongs@hotmail.com
