Second show in series features Nashville hitmaker Jaime Kyle
Naked Songwriters is proud to announce our next performance on March 19th, with headliner Jaime Kyle, local legend A.J. Croce, and San Diego singer-songwriters Joe Rathburn, Calman Hart and Patti Zlaket.

Jaime Kyle has crossed all boundaries with her songwriting, writing Rock to Alternative Pop, Christian to Country. In 1994, Jaime was voted one of ASCAP’s No. 1 Songwriters. Her single, "Stranded" performed by Heart, was a top ten hit on the CD "Brigade" which went triple platinum. Her history making song "Wild One" gave Faith Hill an unprecedented four weeks at #1 on her double platinum CD "Take Me As I Am" Faith also recorded "Bed Of Roses" on her second double platinum CD "It Matters To Me"

Jaime began writing songs and performing at a young age. As an artist, she has recorded three critically acclaimed CDs that have topped the charts in Europe. Her grassroots approach to her career has taken her to stages all over the world where she has shared the stage with the likes of Faith Hill, Amy Grant, Journey, Delbert McClinton, Bad Company, Felix Cavaliere, Richard Marx, and Gary Burr. Her first release for Atlantic Records charted #1 on the Import Charts in Europe.

You'll find Jaime's CDs and a complete discography at www.jaimekyle.com

During the past eight years, the world has known A.J. Croce (www.ajcroce.com) as a piano man, banging out soulful blues, jazz and roots influenced music to substantial critical acclaim and growing international audiences. No wonder; not only were his three albums in that mode original and distinctive, but Croce was expert enough in those milieus to not just play the music but also to lecture about it at universities.

A.J.'s last album, "Transit" took him in another direction, back to his own musical roots, and the sounds and textures of classic brit-pop groups like the Beatles, the Zombies and the Kinks.

Croce also has yet another side. That of the songwriter and collaborator. He has been commissioned to write for films, television, commercials and other artists. Most of A.J.'s time that isn't spent touring or recording, finds him in the studio, writing and co-writing with some of the music industry's top tunesmiths.

Joe Rathburn (www.joeratburn.com) and Calman Hart (www.berkleyhart.com) are perennial fixtures in San Diego’s singer-songwriter scene. Both have been nominated for numerous awards, received great critical acclaim, and shared the stage with numerous top national acts.

Rathburn’s new CD, “Rockwells and Picassos” is the continuation of his string of wonderfully upbeat narratives on Americana and the human condition. The album was produced by Jeff Berkley, who makes up the other half of Berkley Hart, a musical partnership with Calman Hart, who released three well-received solo albums before teaming up with Berkley.

The partnership’s initial offering “Wreck ‘N’ Sow” helped the duo take home two San Diego Music Awards in 2000. Calman Hart makes a rare solo appearance at Naked Songwriters.

Newcomer Patti Zlaket (www.mp3.com/pattizlaket) is an emerging songstress with a powerful yet delicate delivery and a strong pop sensibility. Reaction to her latest record, “Bliss” has been very positive, landing her appearances at festivals and concerts as well as industry showcases, like Naked Songwriters and BMI’s “Circle Of Songs”

The mission of Naked Songwriters, is to introduce and support professional songwriters and provide them with a receptive audience and access to each other and music industry professionals.

The focus of the series is mainly on professional writers who are writing commercially for other artists, television and film. This isn't really about "local"...it's more about "professional" and people who are writing now, or have written in the past for a living, and are getting cuts on major records, or are on the verge.

The concept for the series is part concert, part talk-show and part master class on songwriting. It is an intimate and interactive “session” where the songwriters and the audience connect on many different levels.

Each set features performance and interview. After each performer’s set is over, they join the audience to answer questions sell and autograph CDs and other merchandise, and network with other writers and industry guests.

There will be a Media Reception with the writers from 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Credentialed press and media personnel are encouraged to come and enjoy complimentary happy hour refreshments and meet the songwriters.
