A couple days ago, a good friend of mine and one of Phoenix's finest passed
away. Sid Copeland, owner of Jugheads, was an inspiration to all and
an important part of the Arizona music scene. While Jugheads was
primarily a punk bar, Sid would allow anyone to perform there: rock,
hip-hop, techno, karaoke, acoustic, etc. I never had a problem
booking a show with Sid, and I would always refer out-of-town acts to
Jugheads because it was one of the few venues in town that would still
pay "out-of-towners" with little audience draw. Words cannot describe
what Sid Copeland did for the Phoenix local music scene. He is
irreplaceable and will be dearly missed. We all love you, Sid!

RIP Sid Copeland
