Changes, life is, There's no question here, It's the hardest part not to fear He is, Ageless, He's the keeper of time, There's no question here, In my mind Cloudy days ,troubles are coming my way There's no question here, It's the hardest part not to fear And with this faith I'm walking down the narrow way, and by his hand he'll lead me to my home He is, He is , There no question here http://www.mjmrecords.com/media/mp3Rapture/05%20No%20Question%20Here.mp3 http://www.mjmrecords.com ------------------

MJM,
I am going to ask you as politely as I can. Can you take a little time to talk about what you think about in terms of rhythm and time when you write? There are some aspects of it I really like, but at some level I can't get myself into the musical space you are in.
This is another strong work, and it's sparity and arrangement fit nicely as an addition to your catalog. More lead, which I dig.
Good job again, Jay

Very nice MJM, like it! Having listened to your music for quite some time now, I'll take a stab at answering Jay's query... MJM's music is completely free form, but there is no doubt in my mind that it is in no way random. Listening to all the instrumentation as it weaves in and out makes that very clear to me. There is a purpose, I have alway's related to his music, reminds me of a duet album done by David Crosby and Graham Nash. Aural poetry. Very difficult to dance to, I've finally quit trying....;-) Rob ------------------ I used to be indecisive, now I'm not sure... My Songs

Michael, definately marching to the beat of a different drummer. Enjoyed very much, wish I could play like that.

Wow Man, Most Excellent. You weave a very interesting tapestry. I don't know your gear, but your recording technique is getting your message across also. I am jealous. And to think you wanted to quit aways back. Keep on Keepin On. You should shop this if you are not already!! great job, ------------------ www.soundclick.com/MichaelHollomonBand

MJM,
I'm pretty cerebral when doing music, so I really like to try to wrap my brain about what is going on in music I like. I really like what you're doing, and it has similarities to what I do, but there are places you've taken things, that I want to go and haven't yet. You're obviously a talent, and I see you see you say things like "I just plug in and see what happens" alot. If that's all it is, you've been gifted in a way very few are. I'd love to watch you work some time, I think I could glean alot of cool ideas from that. For now, I'll have to glean from the music itself. I can handle it.
Jay

Hi Michael. I definitely would enjoy this in a coffee house or a beachside pub. But I don't think I'll ever hear it on the radio. Keep composing!

Michael,
Love your "head" creativity on the fly! Unique style with hints of America and similar, but your own.
Very tasty!
