Hi Leanne.. Very pretty song...did you have this done at Deco? I have a demo with this lady singing...her voice fits this type of music. ~~shelia www.sheliaquattlebaum.com

Thanks Shelia! Yeah, I had DeCo do this one, wanted the piano. Was going for that Mary Poppins or Julie Andrews feel on the voice. I think she did pretty good. I think the tempo is a little fast, but that's my fault-I think I rushed the work tape a little 'cause I hate to sing. Thanks for checking this one out, not too many people are into lullabies. Fortunately TAXI has a listing right now for them.

You should try contacting the animation industry and see if you can submit this melody customized for a particular storyline. My daughter has been watching Bambi 2 (several times) the last couple of weeks. I watched it with her and was struck with all the oppounities for music. The story is quite good and most of the music is OK but not as good as you would find in other Disney movies. Disney is a tough nut to crack but the animation feature is expanding. I see them all (having pretty young children) and many times, I must say to myself, " I could do that better" One great song, in my opinion is in Toy Story 2. Listen to "When you loved me" sometime- it is a suprisingly touching song. I think you have a gentle melodic sensitivity that could find a home in animation scores.

Kaley, terribob, nashvillecat, and Linda A, thanks so much for listening and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it! And Nashvillecat, that's an interesting suggestion which I'll seriously consider, thanks again!

Girl Howdy Leanne!
Loving lullabye!
What a lucky son you have!
Excellent lyric and melody! I really dig the piano and voice. You can't hide anything when it's just two pieces. The writing has to be great, and it is!
Blessings,
Johnboy

Leanne, This is absolutly lovely. Gives me the goose bumps. Lyrics and music are wonderful. Got to agree with Nashville, would be perfect for animation. Great Job. Going back to listen again. tom

Very nice song. I had a chance to listen to 2 songs. "Nobody Told Me" and "Mama Is Here". In "Mama Is Here" your voice reminds me of Alisson Kraus. Your voice is very versitile. It sounds like you have a wide range and could sing manys styles of songs. Your voice if very nice to listen to and I hope you get somewhere with your music if you haven't already. Keep up the good work and keep posting. Looking forward to hearing more. CountrySongwriter www.soundclick.com/larrybalding

Tom, Glad I could prickle your epidermis. I think goosebumps are the ultimate compliment for a songwriter. Thanks!
Larry, Sorry to say, it's not my voice in either one of these songs, just my writing. Mama is Here was sung by a demo singer who wishes to remain nameless, and Nobody Told Me was demoed for me by fellow JPFer Shelia Quattlebaum. Thanks so much for listening, and taking the time to comment!

Thanks John. By "hard", do you mean difficult to sing or play, or what? I appreciate your comments!
