The Box (Paul Evans Pedersen, Jr./C.L.Taylor) http://www.soundclick.com/util/streamM3U.m3u?ID=103335&q=Hi http://www.soundclick.com/util/streamM3U.m3u?ID=103335&q=Lo SOMETIMES, YOU JUST GET GODDAMNED SICK AND TIRED OF "THE RULES"! A note of explanation: Technically, this song plain old DON'T WORK! It breaks every rule thats ever been taught about songwriting. It runs the verse into the chorus, and vice-versa. It has no real story line. Goofs up the english language and all parts there-of. In a state of inebreation, I saw Ceri's suggestion for a chorus, and simply inserted it randomly between whatever verse I happened to look at at the moment. A couple times, I was seeing double. And then, I just sang thru it! HA! Like I said, it breaks ALL the rules! Thank Christ! It sure was fun! Theres a box Out on the road Full of "who cares" And forgotten load! a train to take me, and a box to hide. a bridge that crosses, and a light to guide. Theres a dumpster In parkin' lot Servin' up "havins'" For the "sure ain't gots" Theres a bayou Under Main Street Just one crossin' To complete a train to take me, and a box to hide. a bridge that crosses, and a light to guide. See's the old town This blind-eyed moth With the candle That scorched the troth Screamin' cicada Top-branch shy Shell's dead and starin' You think he die? a train to take me, and a box to hide. a bridge that crosses, and a light to guide. Old snatch-snapper Finds The Box Gets sure-nuff thank-full For "lover's" socks Train in circles 'Neath Harvest Moon Box full of old skins Comes another soon a train to take me, and a box to hide. a bridge that crosses, and a light to guide. Yeah, theres a box On the side of the road Full of "who cares" But lightened load! a train to take me, and a box to hide. a bridge that crosses, and a light to guide.
