I am posting this again, as i posted it in the wrong place before. I write and sing christian contempory songs. A well established publisher, showed quite an interest in a couple of my songs, but it has been a few months since i have heard anything. Is this the norm.

If they showed interest and asked you to send material, I think you're entitled to follow up on that. If possible, add some new element to the communication, such as a release or cut you might have in the pipeline, a new partner you're writing with, new website or changes to a website, coverage in a magazine, etc; The point being that you are continuing your career (you are continuing your career and pitching, n'est-ce pas?) and would like to know a little more for your files. Don't be intrusive but don't put it off for too long either. M PS: I was born in Co. Armagh. http://www.a-lyric.com

Hi Liz, I have to agree with writie. If the publisher showed interest in your song and it's been a few weeks, I'd certainly follow-up. Note that it is extremely common in this business for people to show interest in a song initially, but then not actually act on it. I don't know why that is, but it's more the norm than not. Good luck. -Danny ------------------ ---------------------- Danny Arena/Sara Light www.SongU.com Songwriting Courses Online [This message has been edited by danny (edited 04-19-2004).]
