No wonder I didn't win lotto tonight. My stars were already set. Last week I sent my Novelty lyric addressing tunnel vision, Up Where The Sun Don't Shine to Radio West's Cliff reeves talk back show as a light hearted look at the Illegal boat people at Christmas Island issue. Cliff anounced Friday it was deemed best contribution for the week and I scored a couple of nights at a flash Perth Pub. Saturdsay I had said I would do the photos for Esperance Community Arts Dare To Wear Ball and was busy snapping away the Community achievers awards when up comes my name. I had been awarded the music industry award. Blew me away. Not to mention made it awfull hard to take pic of the event. Blew five rolls of film throughout the night and taxi'd home a bit after one am. Turned on the puter to write up the article and decided to check SCALA site as their FOOM International Awards were tonight also. And there it was Come The Morrow got a Commended award in the lyrics section. I didn't expect any of these as the first was just a bit of fun. The second was a real surprise as I know there are others who do mare than I do for music in Esoerance. Third one I had given up on as all other comps I have been in have notified me of placings a bit before the official anouncements were out. So. Thats my run of three I guess so I may as well stay up all night now. Just thought I would have a little skite. Regards. Way to go, Graham! Haven't seen or experienced a hat trick like that in any of my musical circles here in the U.S. But then again, you're a bloke of many hats, right? Cheers, Guy-Michael Grande Route Five Records www.cdbaby.com/guymichael

Little wonder I rarely hear from Graham personally -- between all of this and maintaining the September 11th site and performing live and what all else he must be doing that we haven't even any idea about, the old bloke's been keepin' hisself quite busy, eh? Congratulations buddy! ------------------ Best Regards and Aloha, Charlie http://artists2.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Wong_Songs/index-1.html

What can I say JPFers. Aw Shucks? Thanks? You're all to Kind? All of the above/ Yep Thats it. Thank you one and all. I truely appreciate your words of inspiration. I saw Bobbies pointer to this on the lyrics forum and considering I was a few sheets in the wind when I posted this (That means I had a few more drinks than ususal0, I hadn't forgotten i had posted it but don't get down this far on the forums normally. To have a skite is to do some bragging Pete. A skite is a person doing the bragging. I see in Brian's coments toward a JeanB post in General Forum, there is the possibility some forums will close due to lack of use. I am going yto comment on that in the repl to Bobbie's heads up o this one in the lyrics forum as it is the most used forum. Just a point I gathered from reading the repies here may not be understood. I am not a performer. I do blow a bit of Blues harp from time to time and do sing a few of my songs, but mostly the fun ones or any that make a bit of news down here. Think most times folks are happy to put up with me because it is news stuff but all pray I don't do an encore. Harpwise, I sometimes play well enough to get yelled back on, but am really only a faker at that too. Good bit about harp is. Get to learn how to do a suck four wail at the appropriate time, most punters don't know you aren't anything special. Even sombody like me can get to feel special them times. And times like this too. Thanks Folks. Regards. Graham ------------------ http://artists2.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Graham_Henderson/
