I just made the switch to CW Pro Audio today. My buddy that is engineering my project stepped up his software and sold me his old disk and manual. I'm going through the first tutorial and it prompts me to click play or stop or spacebar to pause playback, but when I do this, it stops and resets to the beginning of the track. Does anyone know if there is a setting I need to toggle to get the pause to work? I went to the cakewalk site to ask them and can't find how to ask them. It doesn't seem to be in the manual or in online help, and I hate to re-install if I am just missing something. Sincerely, Scattered in the Studio. 8-) ------------------ http://soundclick.com/furrodney [This message has been edited by rodhughey (edited 03-08-2004).]

Hi Rod, It sounds like you have the looping function turned on and that it is set to rewind on stop. I used to use CWPA9 as well. I can't describe quite how to do this, but go to the help and type "loop" and you might be able to find what you need. There are two sets of time marker indicator windows up in your menu area. The one on the right is the one that has to do with loop settings. Push the buttons around in that area (I think it's the second on to the right of the little indicators). I hope some of this helps ------------------ John http://www.johnkscott.com

Hello John:
I found it. You were right, it was the looping turned on and set to go to the beginning of the project on stop. Now if I can only get through the other 300 sum-odd pages and figure the rest of it out.
Thank you for the taking the time. Most appreciated.
