I have a digital 8-track, Boss BR8 with built-in effects, and can't spend too much, what do you think would be a good mike for my setup? Right now I use an old cheapie Kenwood, about $45 when I bought it 15-20 years ago. Any suggestions appreciated! ------------------ Best Regards and Aloha, Charlie http://artists2.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/Wong_Songs/index-1.html

Hi Charlie: I also use the Boss BR8 and use a Rode NT1 mike with a ART Tube pac preamp compressor which powers this mike and also gives a very warm and pro studio mike sound. Its also is a good mike for acoustic instruments.I payed $200.00 Canadian for the mike (it was used)and I payed $300.00 for the preamp which was new.You can probably get this equipment state side for less. You have to have the preamp with this mike when useing the BR8.Hope this helps Charlie and good luck.
