Ch1. well you can't buy your shoes at a regular store you got to get 'em bigger and you got to pay 'em more if you try to walk around on sandy little beach everybody there is starin' down at your feet
V2. He told me not to quit when I think I'm gonna win and don't worry if you lose you can always try again take care of your fam'ly before you move along .......... an' keep your toenails from gettin' too long
lead
Ch2. you can see 'm pokin' out of your dirty white sneakers now how's that gonna look when you're dancin' with your sweety and on your first night of romantic wedded bliss you'll be scratchin' on her legs... tryin' to get a kiss.....
V3. he used to tell me kid learn to keep your money hid then he showed me how to fold it like my grandaddy did keep the fire burning when your out there havin' fun..... and keep your toenails from gettin' too long

Hello Paul, Nice to meet you ! Very unusual, but I like it. I notice the first 2 lines in C2 don't rhyme, but it still might work. This was an interesting read Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewartmusic.htm

Calvin, thanks for the read. I know what you mean about the sneaker sweety ryhme, but if I sing it right it should go over.
My dad actually used to say our toenails were too long was the reason why we're so uptight just to lighten the mood sometimes. We all had a good laugh after rolling our eyeballs.

</font> Sing it like John Fogerty - that guy can make any two words rhyme. Seems like the right style for it anyway... Fun lyrics - would like to hear an mp3 if you make one. Scott

This was used in charades . . .
Time to clip the toenails, Granny, you're beginning to tear the sheets!
V2. He told me not to quit when I think I'm gonna SCORE and don't worry if you lose, you can always try ONCE MORE!
