Hello. My name is Marie Owens Hardway. I am a vocal coach/producer of several young artists in need of original material to use for recordings, videos etc. They are not signed artists, but hopefully with the right song, they can get the recognition they deserve.

You're on the right track. A great Song is the 'vehicle' that a new singer can ride to fame and fortune.
Being 'The One' who gets to introduce it to the world can make that singer famous.
People don't think about who wrote the Song.
They give all attribution to the artist who/that brings it to the world's attention.
Singers are constantly on the lookout for new Songs to sing. Some write their own. Some don't. Some can't. So others are constantly pitching the Songs they write to those who want to sing them, 'cutting' and 'releasing' them to market as a 'vehicle' to put themselves in the spotlight. Artists tour for a lifetime career on a few hits. They make a big splash in their genre, their market, the cities where their music is recorded and released, and then they tour and trade off that name recognition as the singer of those hits.
Find her the right Songs and she might just be able to take that spotlight position.
