https://www.reverbnation.com/pollychase/song/32365814-things-that-never-can-beSometimes I wish I lived with the wi-ild birds, an' I could follow them as they fly. Sometimes I wish I lived with the angels, in that place where nothin' ever dies. Sometimes I wish I had all the treasure that's lyin' at the bottom of the sea. An'how I wish I was holdin' my true love so clo-ose to me. Oh my darlin' is sleeping in the meadow, under the glittering stars, my darlin lies under the wild flowers, but his sou-oul looks down from afar. Sometimes I wish I could turn the wheels of heaven, an' make everything go my way, an' all those things that trouble me now, I'd command the wind to blow them all away. There's a light beyond the darkness, an' it's calling ou-out to me, keeps me wishing for those things, those things that never can be. Oh yeah I keep wishin' for those things that never can be.

I like it also, but I find the guitar part either too busy or too loud, as it's distracting me from listening to a heartfelt vocal. Best of luck! -Mike Thanks Mike. Well maybe it is. I have a lot of guitar solos in this song.

Songbird,
I enjoyed your tune! I liked the guitar and your vocal style. If you felt you wanted to better separate your vocal/guitar--you might move your guitar 25% to one side so that it's a little more dominate to one side. Then maybe move vocals about 15% to opposing side which might widen the sound a bit--but just a subtle amount is all you need as I felt like I was listening to a simple recording made years ago which is actually cool!
Nice write!

Thank you! This is just a straight one-track recording.
