It seemed like a Journey chorus and then went into a little Broadway interlude. Disjointed. The subject doesn't happen to resonate with me, although I wouldn't say it's bad. Just seems like an ego trip. But yeah, you are "better than good" at singing, that is true.

Music/lyrics express attitudes & feelings--so be it whiny, happy, sad, or angry--doesn't matter--its your song, your story, your art, so express what you will and feel! I really enjoyed the jazzy interludes and definitely see this song being potentially cinematic. No nits here. steady-eddie

Also, I think the chorus is a maybe just bit repetitive. Having said that, I really enjoyed it because of the performance and the musical arrangement. The jazzy interludes that Eddie mentioned work surprisingly well. I say surprisingly because for a moment they seem like they've wandered in from another song, but they soon pull up a chair and make themselves at home.
