Mimmo sent me this new mix which also features a female vocal along with Mimmo's own. Her name is Yolande Strauss New mix for this song...Duet with Yolande Strauss...Thanks to all the collaborators. Lyrics: John Vaughan Vocals: Dom Mercurio Music: Dom Mercurio Vocals: Yolande Stauss Guitars Mark A. Shrider Flute: Daniel J. Moore Gary Miller: Piano, Strings Flute and Tremolo Strings (From midi) Andy Gupta:Guitar (in the mix with piano solo) Bass, Drums and French Horn in the ending Rest of instruments and Mix Master done by Dom Mercurio https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14150519Who's Going to Hold me When I cry? Remix v 1 Started thinking how I'd feel if you should go how would I carry on, would my feelings show? Would I laugh again, how slow would time go by? And who's going to hold me when I cry? v 2 They say time heals wounds, but time moves so slow, one minute you'd be here, for eternity you'd go. Could I live without you, would I live a lie? And who's going to hold me when I cry? Bridge Can't believe how good you've made me feel have to pinch myself to make sure it's real Keep to myself these foolish fears all the uncertainty and silly tears. V3 Couldn't even go away to hide the pain wherever I'd go, couldn't bare to hear your name. Would I meet a new love, in some another guy? would he hold me like you did when I cried?

Hi Mimmo.
This melody has a dark feel to it, and I like it. It's not a song that grabs you quickly, but one you will appreciate more after several listens. I do feel with this tempo, IMO, that you should share the verses out of the gate establishing the duet arrangement more quickly right from vs 1. Then take turns on the chorus. I think the percussion track feels a little too out front and could be improved by moving back and blending into the mix more. Yolande's vocal is good, but could be more "prominent" when coming in to match your prominence.
I like the song's drive--nice work, but the song has more potential with some tweaks IMO.

steady-eddie Hi Ed...Thanks for your input on this song. Not sure if you heard it before...In fact the song was recorded a few years back, I did one version and Yolande did a version on her own. I came across the folder for the song last week and decided to make a different mix, so I tried a few things with it and cut and pasted the vocal tracks mixed it and the version John posted was the last one I did...I can always try a few different cuts of the tracks I have for the vocals...See what will work better for this song. I did notice after I put the effects on it that some of the instruments may need a better balance or gain control. I will probably do some more work on it, see if I can improve it. Thank you again for sopping by, Glad you like it Regards Mimmo

This has an epic feel right off the bat. Has a nice descending chord progression that feels like a river flowing down to the sea There are some mixing issues on my cheap speakers - the intro guitar seemed too loud and the drums were a bit too up front as well. The vocals are strong. I found it a bit long but I guess at this tempo that's hard to avoid. Good work - I enjoyed it Paul

I will be trying to correct a few issues in the mix as soon as I can get back to it, I've also noticed a few things that need a bit of adjusting...Thanks again Mimmo

Looks like you having fun Travis. This is catchy. My only suggestion would to bring a duo in the Bridge since both singers are expressing their feelings. Other than that loved it. Great job all of you. Douglas

We were unhappy with the sound balance on a couple of versions that were remixed after the initial posting so Mimmo worked on the song and this is the result. Probably the absolute final version-maybe! John

Song strikes me as an ode to love. It gets it's point across but there is no place where it seems to arrive. I'm afraid that the music strikes me as laboring and dragging on the lyric. I suggest some more work. It goes without saying that this is the opinion of one person who claims not to be a great writer themselves.

Thanks for your comments and ears SP. Even though it has been through various changes, female vocal is one. It's not set in stone. I'm sure Mimmo will comment too Thanks John
