...it has been wrongly claimed that Joe Biden was referring to George W. Bush when he said "...four more years of George..."
This is FAKE NEWS!!
Joe was, in fact, referring to myself, Robert George, and my retirement from poetry, lyrics and novels.
Nothing to see here. Any suggestion from Breitbart, The Daily Wire or The Federalist that Biden has slipped beyond what a dose of Prevagen or a 5000mg shot of B-12 can remedy is pure Russian disinformation funneled through Rudy Gullianni.
I appreciate the shout out from Joe but do plan on sticking to my retirement.
Even so, I've been working behind the scenes to edit Stephen Colbert's taped interview with Biden, set to air on Colbert's show tonight.
After telling Colbert what flavor ice cream he likes, Joe did a sharp mental pivot to his plan to stop coyotes along the southern border by painting tunnels on the side of mountains.
Be sure to tune in...

In addition to all that, he has an extraordinary scholastic record. And has the uncanny ability to heap praise on someone who started a klan chapter and then serve as the VP to America's first Black president. What a well rounded guy.

"...four more years of George..."
Lopez has never been POTUS. Unless Joe was referring to Lopez's awful tv show. No matter how you slice that statement, Joe's mind was...was...
And fortitude? Biden's been locked away for months. He's got the stamina of a toddler. If a reporter manages to ask him a tough question, Biden yells at him to get off his lawn.
Name one tough question Lopez asked him. Of course, Joe was in a hurry to get to a grueling ABC town hall hosted by Chelsea Clinton...
Hey, I just posted a satire. No need to argue. Just remember...if you don't vote for Joe, you ain't Corn Pop.

Fd
You always hoist yourself up on to a soapbox and give us Fd's "view from the mountain."
I know who Trump is. I have no illusions about him. I know who Biden is. I also know who Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett are...and the alternate reality that would have been yielded by a Clinton admin. Like the Clintons, Biden has been visible for decades. He is an empty suit who plays the insider game very well and gets himself elected to things decade after decade. He is of the professional political class that is owned by the elite and a cancer to the country.
As explained over and over...there is only a choice between a Trump admin and a Biden admin. And no others. No vote is a vote for both and a vote for neither.
It looks like Biden is going to win. Pick your poison and move on. Your soapbox arrives nowhere.

Some of your posts, such as the last, need to come with a paraphrased explanation.
This gem that you sell over and over again that....
Some of us are congenital deplorables who clutch their guns and bibles, hopelessly unable to escape republican-ism and others of us are intractable lib-tards mindlessly and forever enmeshed in all things democrat...Yet...
you are the great wizard who sees the grand picture that escapes such little minds....
No. Not really.

I will totally enjoy what will be the only really funny part of 2020, watching all the liberal media, and the cellar dwellers crying on TV again. There is nothing funnier than that.

John I voted for Trump days ago. But prepare yourself for a loss. And if he does lose, be thankful for three excellent SCOTUS appointments. The very best one came this evening with Barrett. She is a judge and a scholar and a conservative. In my completely uneducated opinion, the outcome will come into focus early in the evening on election night. GA, FLA, PENN. Trump needs two of the three to be viable. If he takes them, then the upper MIDWEST decides again. Penn looks like a long shot but I thought it was hopeless until Biden's oil remarks.

But it was viscerally enjoyable to watch all these lib tv people go from smugly confident in their outcome to an inability to emotionally deal with it in front of the camera. It looked like someone stole the banana splits right off of the table tops from in front of little kids. I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it.

This thread is following a well trodden path. Couchgrouch lobs a "satire" bomb in here, it gives off a foul noxious gas and infects everyone with the need to respond. We are better than this, folks.

Relish In the result, so the election is a football game, and the rivalry between dems and repubs is the focal point .
What's next somebody steals the mascot? Not entirely. Relish in the thought that Biden et al is not in control of the presidency for the next four years. As incredulous as Trump's chaos can be, he signs good enough legislation and appoints very good judges and understands borders. Having said that...I don't gamble but if I did, I would bet Biden takes it.

I, and many other people who have voted the same way in both, really enjoy being right about the direction this country should go in. We also enjoy seeing the silent majority wake up and take a real voice in elections. And yes, I really enjoy seeing these people who dress up in vagina outfits, and belong to ANTIFA, throw hissy fits when they don't get their own way.

John, surely you can't be serious about that silent majority thing. That was a Nixon slogan. The world has moved on. The team you support (because that seems to be what politics has become) is all about making sure that the will of the majority doesn't prevail. I don't know who will win this election, but I'm pretty darned sure of which way the majority of the country will vote, probably by a wider margin than last time. Them's the rules and everyone has to play by them, but please don't give me this "silent majority" stuff.
And don't give me that stuff about ANTIFA and vagina outfits. I'm 100% sure you don't slip on a swastika armband before popping down to the local KKK bar, but that would be about as accurate a representation of Republican voters as your characterization of Democratic supporters is. We need to get beyond cartoon depictions of those who feel differently from how we do.

I don't support a "Team". I support this country sticking with the things that make it great. That is free enterprise and being rewarded for hard work. It is not living off the hard work of others. And yes, I see many liberals this way, all of those who won't open their eyes to the direction The Democratic party has taken, who take the liberal media's garbage as words from the Bible, who riot and burn and loot and assault and have their children wearing vagina outfits. And yes, the silent majority spoke in the last election, as they are in this one. My father was in the KKK, but he was a Democrat to the bone. I have never believed in any of that, I am a conservative.

I know, almost all liberals claim anyone not a liberal is a racist. The truth being that the KKK was a democratic deal. They are still claiming that President Trump is a racist while he has done much more for blacks than the half black president before him did in 8 years. What a surprise. You didn't even know my father so how could you have any instinct about him? You also have no idea about me, other than I believe in what is good for America.

You mean kind of like the Democrats changing their minds about immigration. Like their team building the cages and blaming President Trump for them? Or most of them being for a wall/barrier until he wanted it? Ask most of the minorities that have worked for him if he is a racist. Ask all of the minorities his policies have helped since he got into office. You like to nitpick. It is the only thing you can really do at this point. PS, why is it most liberals never want to own the fact that the KKK is theirs?

But I'm not sure how the supreme court justice makes such a big difference, still needs support votes on any decision.
Fd That displays incredible ignorance of many circumstances. Sorry for the bluntness, but there is no other way to view that remark.

John S, you said this is one of your core beliefs "I support this country sticking with the things that make it great. That is free enterprise and being rewarded for hard work. It is not living off the hard work of others"
What you support is that public monies can go to big companies in the form of grants and inducements, to farmers in a big way, and to many others who are sucking at a Republican government teat. So it's OK for those people to get handouts, but Joe average is not entitled to government sponsored health care or an increase in the minimum wage
And BTW that viewpoint is fine if that is what you believe, but make no mistake that you support handouts to farmers to grow no crops, to big pharma to develop new drugs, to big oil.....AND then these folks are not taxed very onerously.
I get accused of being liberal, which I suppose I am in some ways, but at heart I am a conservative in the mould of Edmund Burke. Give me a small practical plan that works over some grand ideal any day. Government spending is good, but should be allocated smartly, and not handed out willy nilly to those who can lobby the hardests or best
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop

Everyone wants to curse big business, and the rich, and blame them for all of the ills of this country. The truth is, without them; this country wouldn't be what it is. You have to have a tax base to keep a country running. Look at the real numbers. The top 5% pay around 70% of the taxes. You'd like to talk about oil, Thank President Trump for making us the biggest oil producer in the world. This will keep us from having to meddle with other countries over oil. You want to talk about "Big Pharma"? Thank President Trump for bringing drug prices down. You want to talk about farmers and their subsidies? How long ago were these put in place. The farmers suffered because of the China embargo, so President Trump helped them. The best thing that we could do for farmers is stop all cash help to all countries in the world, and help them with food, equipment, education, and basic necessities of living; all produced and/or grown in America; things that corrupt leaders can't easily pocket. If they do, stop everything coming into those countries, and make sure the citizens of those countries know they won't resume until/unless those leaders are removed. The carrot works wonders.

And President Trump had to spend a lot to rebuild the military the previous 8 years had almost destroyed. He also spent money on many programs that helped minorities, not by handing out money, but by giving them the chance for businesses and jobs they wouldn't have had without his leadership. Give a man a fish versus teach a man to fish... The Democrats would much rather keep them dependent so they have a voting base they can rely on. Suddenly, the downtrodden are waking up to this. I love it.

John basic principles. Republicans spend your money on "foreign wars (except for Trump)" , dems spend it on so called free loaders, either way your money is being taken from you to pay for whatever they want.
No other way to spin it. One of your odd moments of clarity Fd. Made a minor adjustment to your text.

In a hardhitting interview with NBC 5 in D-FW, Joe Biden referred to Kamala Harris' husband Doug Emhoff as her "wife".
CNN was quick to point out that Joe was likely referring to George Lopez and not his running mate's husband.
In related news, I've been hired by an elite Madison Ave. agency to teach the value of a company's name having the best possible initials for re-inventing their brand, and, hopefully, with Marxist blessings, de-monetizing it.
Case in point...
CNN!!
When Ted Turner founded CNN, its initials stood for Cable News Network. Then, during 2015-2016, CNN morphed into the Clinton News Network, declaring worldwide the wonderfulness of all things Clinton.
When Hillary lost her second bid for POTUS (damn those Russkies!!!), CNN rolled with the punches and became the Collusion News Network from 2017-2019.
When Mueller's investigation turned up nada (thirty million semolians down the terlit!!), CNN again proved itself a chameleon and became the Covid News Network.
Whispers on the wire say that with anchors like Chris (a mask for thee but not for me) Cuomo and pundits like Jeffrey (jerkin my gerkin while workin) Toobin, CNN is poised to land next as the Clown News Network.
Its ratings have dropped like Bill's drawers in front of Paula Jones, so hey, at least the Marxists are happy.
Sign up for my Zoom cautionary tale while you still can!!
Ps pop quiz hot shot...whose dementia turned out to be more advanced, Robert Mueller's or Joe Biden's?
Harris/Biden 2020!!!
