Very 'chill', moody, thoughtful, pensive, almost melancholy. Ideally some new sounds should come in at about every 20 seconds. I think I heard something at 2:30, and again at 3:07 that would fit that suggestion. The sameness up to those points is very 'listenable' though, quite calming.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

Brass comes in at 16 seconds, Cellos come in at 37 seconds, String Section at 52 seconds etc etc. These of course are all orchestral instruments so not quite sure what you are expecting. If there is a 20 second rule I would throw it out of the window LOL as to the sameness being listenable I will just bow out on that and say thanks for the listen and comments. Stay Safe. Best, Gerry

I hypnotize myself with "strings" all the time lol... I would have given the piano a lot more room, but overall it sounds great ! It almost sounds like the "vox" near the end is pronouncing something

Not sure that strings hypnotize me but when I hit the right chords with the right string section I almost go into a trance LOL. Maybe that's one and the same thing. Best, Gerry

Very cool sound, Gerry. As you say in your SoundCloud description, it does have the feel of a nocturne. I don't think the piano needs to be more prominent in the mix if thats's what's being discussed here. Totally get what both of you are saying about strings.

steady-eddie Hope all is well Eddie many thanks. An old friend of mine told me many years ago that if an instrumental doesn't take you anywhere then its not a good instrumental. So your kind words mean a lot to me. Take care. Gerry
