Hi all, Some of you have seen this in the lyrics section. I have no real way to do any mixes now as windows screws up the mic settings when I try to add vocals to BIABox. So this is to the BIAB tracks. It's only from my laptop mic. It's not real pretty, but this is how I feel this song should go. I don't have any way to change anything on the mix right now, sorry, it will have to wait till I get off of Saipan. https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14095608 Lovey She wasn’t very special Especially to her dad Who left her belt unbuckled And it turned out so bad Under the influence Of smoke and alcohol She went through the window When he hit the pole Lovey wasn’t loved-------------} Chorus At least not to me Ignored by the world And her family Seven when I met her Four years in the chair On a ventilator It wasn’t very fair She was very angry And hated everyone It took a while to reach her But I soon got it done I was her nurse two years Doing all her care She hid the brightest smile I’d seen anywhere Lovey wasn’t loved-------------} Chorus At least not to me Ignored by the world And her family Seven when I met her Four years in the chair On a ventilator It wasn’t very fair Her parents put her in a home When she was only nine Tired of being stuck with her Jealous of their time Instrumental Break Lovey wasn’t loved-------------} Chorus At least not to me Ignored by the world And her family Seven when I met her Four years in the chair On a ventilator It wasn’t very fair Lovey wasn’t loved But she was by me Copyright 8/2020 John W. John:
Given the problems you have encountered... I can hear a much better version (when you have time) because this one may get the point across... but it deserves more on the production and recording side. Thanks for sharing.
----Dave Hi Dave, Thanks for the listen, and the comments. Yes, it needs a lot better production and recording, but you can only gets what I has at the moment. The tracks sound a lot better than they do in the recording, it's a BB King style blues, and this one is definitely blues; but it needs a true blues guitar lead through the whole thing and especially for the break. I just have no way to put the tracks and the vocal together except the way I have.

Dang John,
Deej just really lifted my spirits beforehand--these lyrics bring you back down for sure. I don't mean that's a bad thing, obviously you are writing about a tragic circumstance that you feel needs heard--I applaud that, as awareness of horrid circumstances can make a difference for sure. Will look forward to your production, thanks for sharing.
steady-eddie Hi Eddie, thanks for the listen, I know it's sad, and the production isn't good, but I wanted to share it. It probably will never get past this stage, until I get to the Philippines, and hopefully learn enough to do it better, but I had to write it, finally.
