Sorry, John:
No Audio on my laptop. Could be my operating system isn't windows or mac??? The tiny "player" popped up and I hit the "Play" button... but no sound. Do they require listeners to "sign up?"
I'll check back later.

The soundclick link worked, John:
I didn't try ourstage... but I sure enjoyed the song. A "Toe-Tapper" that sounds pro all the way and Radio Ready.
Best of luck with it.

----Dave Thanks again Dave, For sticking with it, and the compliments. We are shooting for publishing, but a Sync deal would make us very happy too.

Hi John, Thanks for the listen, and nice feedback. Simon doesn't realize how good he sounds. The best part is, we mesh well. That is hard to find.

Hi John,
I enjoyed this listen--I kind of got a "Basha" Latin vibe with this song. They were a great late 90's sound, if you don't remember them, check them out. I like your production, but I would like to hear the end of the Bridge crescendo up rather than resolve downward at ending for more of a climax? Just an idea, use or lose. Nice collab for sure here.

steady-eddie Hi Eddie, Glad you like this one. I've danced a few Latin styles, but never been any part of a Latin song. This one was a happy surprise. Thanks for the compliments. As for the music, that's all up to Simon, I'm just the lyrics, and he does all the rest because I don't have the knowledge, or the ear for it. I know it sounds very good to me.

John, it sounds very good to me as well. When I make a sug, its more for how you might want to experiment or compare--not that its necessarily the best way. It would be a sug for the music composer as you say, but certainly not a nit. We all hear, enjoy, appreciate different nuances with both lyric writing or music composing, and that is why it's an "art."
Best regards,
steady-edide

Nice Retro style tune...
Could be 70's Disco, or the Prince Era work...I think Sync isn't out of the question...
What is he using to program the Drums?

steady-edide Hi Eddie, Thanks again, and I didn't take as a nit. Like I've said before, I don't know enough about studio work to have any say in it. I do know what I like when I hear it, and that's my contribution.

Hi Steve, Glad to hear you like it. I used to dance a lot, skipped the whole disco era, but this was an instantly recognizable beat to me. I'd love to see/hear it pop up in one of the ballroom competitions. Simon says he used a combination of Redrum and Dr Octo Rex in Reason 10 for the percussion track.

John,
Nice contemporary sound to this one. Good beat, with smart stops that add some good accentuation. Very solid vocal with deft backup harmonies. Really nicely done! Simon did a fine job with this one.
Proving again that music is subjective, while I almost always agree with Eddie’s suggestions, I’m not quite onboard with resolving the bridge upward. I think you made the right choice with it as is.
All my best,
Deej

Deej Thanks for the listen, and all the kind words. I am only the word guy here and Simon does all the heavy lifting. He pops in from time to time to see what everyone says and I know he will like this. P.S. You are always welcome to join my co-write club. I have about 100+ lyrics waiting for music.

Hi John ...
Simon really delivered for you on this one! Nice everything! It kinda reminded me of a male version of Sade. The backing tracks are really cool, as are the backing vocals. Excellent in all respects! Enjoyed it a lot. Best to you. Be safe ...
Alan
PS: I had the #1 Instrumental on Our Stage six months in a row earlier this year with my composition titled "Hurting Inside". I currently don't have anything in the competitions ... might do that next month.

Hi Alan, Thanks for the listen and the compliments. Simon will be happy to hear the Sade comparison. Congrats on the "Hurting Inside", did you get any responses from someone wanting to use it?

Enjoying this very much, shades of Brian Ferry with a sprinkle of George Michael. Super professional, congratulations and good luck with this. Best,
