That's a simple wordpad file John
If you are a windows user, simply right click on the file, and open with wordpad. It is Windows cheapie word processor. Or Libre Office will do it...probably MS Office too
Easier...I just downloaded it and clicked on it and my LibreOffice took it from there
Just To See Her by John Lawrence Schick & Robert Schick III
Just a moment in time, she passed through my world Then the moment was gone, she was lost for all time But in light seconds it was clear, as I held back the tears A life’s search would be my lot “Til I found her, ‘til I found her
Is it possible — In that moment All my dreams had materialized Was it probable — In this lifetime That I would ever, ever look into her eyes
Find her at any cost Surrender to her Give her anything, everything!
Just to see her — just to watch her Just to see her — only once more Just to watch her — then I’ll breathe again Open passages — through the universe Just to see her — just to watch her Just to know that — she exists yet Just to see her — would bring life back Just to see her — only once more She’s out there — she’s somewhere
Can’t relax, can’t belong, know she’s out there, can’t be wrong I must search, everywhere, search the halls of joy and pain Only time is the price, which will gladly be paid For what is time without air, who needs air without her
To possess — Just a glance from her For only a second To be engulfed — By her eyes Would make life bearable once again — once again

I used to use Libre Office. It worked well, but could be a bit clunky. When I got a new computer, I went with Softmaker Free Office. It seems to be faster and take up less space on my computer. It's not Open Source like LibreOffice. I think it's a German company. You can upscale to their paid version which is dirt cheap compare to Microsoft, but the free version really does everything most people need for text documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

It is a wordPerfect file (from Corel). Just change the extension from wpd to doc and it should open in word. I couldn't get it to open in wordpad as is.

You're right Kevin...just checked. I assumed from .wpd that is was...but I just now remembered that wordpad has a .txt extension
But you'll have difficulty simply changing the extension to .doc on any newer version of Word because its native format is .docx, and you need a special converter....just confirmed that
This is where LibreOffice shines because it can open all kinds of text, spreadsheet etc files and sets the standard for open document files.
Gavin, I like free...thanks for that addition to the list
