After being on lockdown for over two weeks I guess this one just had to happen. 2020 is The Year Of The Rat in China hence this reflective track. My 2 favorite non-guitar instruments on the lead an Armenian Duduk and a Chinese ErHu. https://soundcloud.com/gerry-cooper-855281238/the-year-of-the-ratStay Safe, Gerry

There is a very lucrative market for music in Synchronization Licensing, for use in TV shows, movies, commercial advertising. The mild melancholy of this piece might find consumers there.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

Very appropriate title and composition, Gerry:
Brooding, melancholy and suspenseful in places and I believe it is perfect for a movie cue, soundtrack, etc. Nice work, my friend. I hope you are staying safe there in Cadiz. This corona business is going to be a real struggle.
Regards, ----Dave

Hey there Gerry.....that was a very soothing piece. I wanted to download this, but didn't see where Soundcloud makes this possible. I think this to be very well crafted and inspired. Great job, and thanks.......... -Tom

The lead vocal needs to come up a bit - just kidding! As others have said, it's got an enjoyable atmospheric vibe to it. Some unique sounds make it an interesting listen Nice work - good luck with it Paul

I say; a bit of alright there Guvnor!
LOL Very nice! I had to look up what those instruments were. Very sweet tone. Interesting how different instruments "catch your ear." I always liked that "whoomp" sound the tabla (I believe) made in Harrison's "Within You and Without You" There's no slowing you down Gerry, and I'm very happy about that! -Mike

Very cinematic. Would be perfect for an IMAX landscape experience of some sort. Beautfully produced. So soothing. Very beautiful. Wouldn't mind getting a massage with this playing in the background either.

This is a nice instrumental piece Gerry. I enjoyed it as I am on lock down in my office. It helped me to feel much better about my situation.
The sounds you use are very nice and will play it again when I get home.

Blame the lockdown for me not slowing down LOL. I would go insane if it wasn't for music and the making of it. Me to on the Tabla. Very cinematic. Many thanks and as my back is playing me up I'm with you on the massage LOL. Stay Safe. This is a nice instrumental piece Gerry. I enjoyed it as I am on lock down in my office. Jane Thank you Jane and I hope the music helps take the pressure off a little. I have been on lockdown in my apartment since the 15th of March and have only gone out once during that time. So I am quietly going crazy LOL. Take Care and Stay Safe. Gerry

Gerry,
Another great backing track—though obviously it stand well on its own. Contemplative and sad — visually compelling in a way. Some expert production touches throughout. Nicely done!
All my best,
Deej
