Is it possible? I'm starting to look like Jesus. I had an ex who did it, so that's out. I normally go to supercuts, I like the girl who does it there. I know one other who cuts hair she's about 3 hours away, can't ask for that. Been watching YouTube videos, and I keep thinking of the great Who song"why should I care, if I have to cut my hair" damn what a great song! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8R0igKESJUYAnyway, any ideas?

Mine gets unmanagable at medium length. It seemed cool having long, bushy hair with metalheads. Looking like one of the girls ugly sisters. But the times changed. I went to Cost Cutters to get a buzz cut 3 years ago. Have not let my hair get past medium length since.. Women look better with the hair, not men. Outside of few exceptions.

Ya think John? If be afraid to do it, Iknow a I'll shave it unevenly.
I never liked too long, my hair curls when it's long, also shows more gray when long. Dad always threatened to cut it when I was younger.
I waited too long in the first place.
Wonder if anyone on fiverr would do it, lol

Yeah Everrete, there used to be an infomercial for one system. Amazing how there could be a market for people who want to save money on haircuts, lol.
I'm looking for a one time only solution, it might involve a buzzer, and some nerve...
It makes you feel like a slob, and right now we're all looking for a pick me up.

Instructions look easy on videos but he says it's ok when you get used to it. That means that first couple of tries it'll look like a pile of cut hay.

I have my own set of barber clippers. But since most of my hair went down the drain year's ago, I relegated having a hair style to a short butch! I just put on the butch attachment about every two weeks and buzz my head. My wife trims around my neck and ears where I can't see very well to do it. So I trim my beard and head at the same time! I do kind of miss my hair from my younger days however, but not I'm not vain about it--would never wear a toupe' or color my gray hair--that's ridiculous unless maybe you're a super star........like Vic Arnold, -- who should feel guilty about those thick lush locks!

Might be nice to be a super star, but only for one day a week and provided there was no touring or long days in the studio involved. I couldn't stand the strain. Especially if I had to carry all this extra hair weight around. Never dyed my hair. I thought that if I did, one day I would be too lazy to do it and there would be shock horror among my friends. Better to grey gradually.

Yes, Vic, it's not all glamour being a superstar, I can assure you . I used to have very red hair, so whenever I had to state my hair color for a driver's license, passport or whatever, it was easy until it started to change gradually. It wasn't red any more, but it wasn't grey either. The best I could come up with was beige. Then, the last time I had to renew my license, the lady at the DMV and I had a long discussion about what to put down for hair color. Beige wasn't an option, apparently. In the end, she suggested "sandy." So now my license says "Hair: SDY." I wonder what other options they have on their list. If someone walks in with their hair died bright pink, is that what goes on their license, and do they have to change it if they change their hair color?

You could be locked up or transported to the colonies for having beige hair in the old days. Is that what happened to you, Gavin? Sometimes beige hair grows on you though.

I have cut my hair almost exclusively for the past few years (until the wife says I need "professional" help). CSN&Y: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Lk2KHajp4Y

Gavin, tell the license bureau that your hair color is "old red." I looked at my drivers license and its says my hair is brown........hmmh, there is still brown in there, but 50% gray now. I think my license is good through most of 2021, I'll have to ponder what to call my hair color.....how about "faded brown?"

Faded brown is good. Or khaki? Fawn? Tuscan? Buff? You should be proud to have any of those on your license.

Heck ! My Missus is a is a fashion designer, and is constantly cutting and dying my hair ( what little I have ) I keep saying "I'm old" and I need some grey to make me look distinguished. I'm not listened to........ and sometimes look like a weird version of Bruce Willis without the face lift. cheers, niteshift

Gavin,
Once you're bald or even almost there--a butch or clean shaved head is your best bet for looks and general appeal--add a nice smile to go with it and that's enough. If I had your hair or especially Vic's, I'd probably have a braided pony tail just for kicks! Getting an idea for a song......."I'm proud to be a baldy from Ohio, we wear masks and cough into our sleeves!" (Okie from Muskogee)
Sorry Nite, you're your wife's "Ken," so you just have to go with her whims!

No, but don't hold your breath. My cutter says she's not cutting hair anywhere until the state says she can. I'm getting pretty shaggy.
