Been a while since I've posted a lyric here - but looks like my thousands of previous posts still have me on the list... Anyway - comments always welcome - this is just a start, still need to add at least another verse and probably a bridge. Time to Go to Sleep - a fall song A burst of color and then the leaves turn brown Wind picks up and leaves start falling down The trees aren't dying, just changing what they wear Undressing, its time to go to sleep Days getting shorter, the nights are growing long Cool bracing breezes carry bird migration songs Not a final parting, just an annual retreat Wintering, its time to go to sleep This annual harvest affair Time to celebrate, time to prepare Fall is natures plan to slow for winter's theme Slow down because we need to sleep to dream Started a video blog this month - Episode 3 is about writing this lyric - check it out if you're inclined. Notes Words Images Episode 3 - Lyric for a fall song
