Hi All, This one has been writing itself for a long time, or at least bouncing around in my skull. It says what I feel about my God. Today's fresh ink. Hope you like it.
Oh My God Is Great
One day I was wondering How I could repay All God has given me What words could I say The answer that He gave Was I could testify How He makes me feel Raise my voice on high
My God is a loving God--------} Chorus He knows we make mistakes He's kind and forgiving Oh my God is great He made the biggest sacrifice You could ever make He offered up his only Son Oh my God is great
I've seem many churches With hellfire and brimstone They say for any slight misstep It's penance and atone Their God is so angry I'd always live in fear That He wouldn't understand Or he wouldn't care
But my God is a loving God--------} Chorus He knows we make mistakes He's kind and forgiving Oh my God is great He made the biggest sacrifice You could ever make He offered up his only Son Oh my God is great
Instrumental Break 8 Bars
My God is a loving God--------} Chorus He knows we make mistakes He's kind and forgiving Oh my God is great He made the biggest sacrifice You could ever make He offered up his only Son Oh my God is great
Oh my God is great

Hi All, In answer to a PM, this will be a slow, very strong, stately song, with the chorus very different from the verses. The verses will be like a story and the chorus like a testimony. Hope you get to hear it someday.

Sorry, no, I don't produce them any more. I don't have the finances I used to, so now I look for musical co-writers to complete songs. With some of them, I send MP3's of me singing them for phrasing, rhythm, and feel. I have found a few, I even have one working on a rock opera I put away years ago. I do actually have a guy looking at doing this one, hopefully an MP3 in the future.

It's a great tribute to God and to your relationship with Him, and it's true, a lot of churches practice fear and always have..God wants us to love him...if we don't, then maybe we should fear him, but also remember he forgives. Lovely work John.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the read, and the very nice comments. I have always believed that you have more success with honey than vinegar and have tried to live my live that way. Many of those churches believe God speaks loudly and carries a big stick.
