Fdemetrio,
I was curious to listen to this one, because I had a chance to read the lyrics before listening and I was intrigued. I like the vocal on this . . . and the melody is solid. There are a couple lines lyrically that give me pause as a listener—always a subjective thing . . . but the one I’d be curious to get your perspective on is the “it’s so tragic I can finally make a smile”. Just because it doesn’t seem to fit with the chorus, to me at least. Why is it tragic the singer can make someone smile, when that person can work magic, and the singer is pleading to be tricked for a while? There’s probably something I’m missing, but just a thought for what it’s worth.
All my best,
Deej
P.S. Slower You Get, came on as I was typing this up . . . nice sound on that one as well. I’ll have to find some time to give it a deeper listen. The ending seemed a bit too abrupt, longing for a better fade . . . but overall sounded sweet.

Thanks Dee, on the tragic line, its a bit of sarcasm, like "I was watching the fights and a hockey game broke out" or, I better get my eyes checked I can see again. It took that situation for him to be able to smile, which is tragic when you think about it. A bit tongue and cheek but I think we need to leave room for the person in the song to be who he is. Only one reply on this. Im finding so much more stuff, dont know if this makes it either, but interested in hearing more.

Morning, FD:
Liked the "concrete flower" line. "Trick me for awhile" has real potential. Would I make changes? Yeah, probably here and there... but that's just me. I enjoyed my listen. Best wishes for success.

----Dave Thanks Dave, a little abstract rock/popl, know its not your bag, but I mostly write for me to record. So If I place a song on my desk, and pitch it to myself, I may or may not accept it,... lol Thanks for the listen.

Looking for the double meaning in these lyrics, but I am not sure there is one. It seems to me to tell the story of a regular joe who catches the eyes of a beauty queen, he's got no chance in hell of ever being with on any normal day, except this one. Even the wino is surprised to see it. Even the regular Joe can't believe it … but he is ok with it, even if for only a little while. Any more to it than that? Kind of a cool concept, but I think there needs to be a rest of the story, if that makes sense.
Love the piano again and enjoyd the melody a lot. Looking forward to hearing these done up in a bigger production.

Dave Thanks Gocart. it's a little esoteric It's more about wanting to believe something, whether it's true or not, you dont care, cause you're enjoying the moment, so you roll with it "trick me for a while", what do I care. You may care down the road, but your happy for a moment. Even if the people around you are skeptical If you saw a young gorgeous woman with some old fat bald guy, the first thing you think is, hes gotta be rich! but he dont care, not until she takes his checkbook and credit card somewhere. Like even if you hate me, tell me later, dont tell me now, im having a good time Think I was trying to say that... The Whino, is the only one who doesnt have a clue...lol he says good luck cause hes too drunk to think anything about it, and he wants a buck Not sure theres enough for a redo, no bridge not enough chorus. But thanks for the listen and thoughts..
