Hi all this is my first co-write with Vic. I think he does a great job with it. Nice! Vic certainly captured that Cajun feel, and there is a spooky quality to it.
Vic seemed to have to rush this line a little to squeeze it in: "Need someone to save me"
Would it be easier as "Will somebody save me?" Or just put the stress on some instead of need and move need to the previous beat.
Enjoyed it John. It's a good fun lyric.

Hi Gavin, Thanks for the listen, glad you like it. I certainly did. I'll leave that line up to Vic, if he wants to change it's fine with me. I try to be an "Easy" co-writer.

John (and Vic),
Always so clean when it comes to a Vic production . . . love the percussion, love the vocal. Nice touches on the harmonies. Terrific instrumental.
Personally, I don’t think that Vic did a great job with this . . .
I think he did an awesome job with this. Well, well done, boys. Enjoyed it a ton!
Humble regards,
Deej

Thanks Gavin. That line has been nagging at me vitals. I was going with the fiddle shuffle rhythm. I will change it now that someone else has noticed. The accent should be on "some". Your nudge is appreciated.

Hey Vic and John:
Great co-write. Zydeco (Cajun) can be fun... and equally difficult... but you two "swam" through this one better'n a south Louisiana Gator. Enjoyed the song and pleased to see some collaboration going on between two talents here at JPF.
All the best, ----Dave

Thanks Deej, Since I haven't played any instruments since 1968, I came back from sunny southeast Asia with cracked and scarred eardrums and was told I would never play or sing again, I look for lots of co-writes. And I am very glad Vic took me up on it. He does excellent work. I have made lots of demos because of BIAB and having a top notch studio guy who could have ruined his ears listening to me "Sing" the melody. After a year of this he told my pitch was almost totally back. Now, after running a karaoke in Thailand for a year, I actually have fans from all over the world who used to come in just to hear me sing, so they told me. I ain't so sure about that, it mighta been the booze talkin'.

Hey Michael, Thanks for the listen and the kind words. This is especially nice from a down home boy. I have been know to do a bit of swing, especially to Cajun music.

Took me right back down to Nawllins and that sweet southern gal that I fell so hard for. you two make such a great team in the way you compliment each other in your work. The gal I knew wasn't evil but she had a sweet, impish grin...Heh,Heh<heh, Thanks for the memory~Matt
