The life I’m living now Intro I searched far I searched wide. I looked high I looked low. I sailed the ocean blue. Still found myself alone. Verse I kept on wishing, kept on wishing. Throwing pennies in the well. I grew weary and I settled down. Then I met you and I fell. Chorus I spent my life dreaming Of the life I’m living now. The life I’m living now. Verse I kept on dreaming, kept on dreaming. Hoping someday I would find My princess, climb the castle wall. The way Jack climbed up the vine Chorus I spent my life dreaming Of the life I’m living now. The life I’m living now. Bridge Oh she loves me she needs me. It seems some dreams come true. Verse I kept on wishing, kept on wishing. Throwing pennies in the well. I grew weary and I settled down. Then I met you and I fell. Chorus I spent my life dreaming Of the life I’m living now. The life I’m living now.

Reading through this lyric made me think of how my life went in the opposite direction. I once dreamed of finding an everlasting love, but there were always problems in the relationships, some of which, sadly, were of my own making. Reached the point now where I question whether such would take me too far out of my comfort zone for comfort. A lady who is part of my life now and has been for a couple of years invited me to spend the night on Christmas for only the second time in the relationship, and I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep and so did she. She would lose her ex-husband's pension were she to remarry, at least before he died. May 2020 see all of us be optimistic about creating what we want and letting it shine.
