I hope I never run out of friends....lol they write these songs with their lives.
pretty standard song style. I sing this so its a little rough.

https://youtu.be/kPkf8o8lbbw

verse 1
Its this whiskey.. talking tonight
I can`t tell you how We fell apart...
some old memories flashing by
its not like we.. never tried.

verse 2
This "amber liquid is reminding me
what we had, what we gave away.
`..just Me..in my mind
tearing through those old... yesterdays.

Chorus:
if I`ll love you till the very last day
and forever is the last breath I take
if forever is the last thing I do..
.. forever is true..

verse3
I have caught myself.. talking out loud,
looking into places... left behind.
.. Its Me...and its straight to you..
Never thought my heart would.. turn blue..

Chorus
if I`ll love you till the very last day
and forever is the last breath I take
if forever is the last thing I do..
.. forever is true..

Bridge:
We laughed and we loved
and put ourselves back together.
Its sad when We shatter a heart
there is always pieces... We never recover.

Chorus
if I`ll love you till the very last day
and forever is the last breath I take
if forever is the last thing I do..
.. forever is true..

Hi Lane,

I like most of it a lot. I think the title should be "Forever is True". You hit that a lot more than the title now. I'm also not too sure about verse 3. I think I want to know more about what went wrong. Just my ideas, KOS.

Lane,

Can't tell you how much I liked this song . . . from the intro that pulls you right in to that final note. The melody, familiar but unique, with it's subtle lifts . . . very sweet. Like how you draw out certain notes on the vocal. The verses flow so nicely into that catchy chorus. I agree with John that the title should be "Forever is True". Nice production touches on this as well. Love the back up vocals. Sweet, sweet song.

My humble regards,

Deej

Hi Lane.
When your voice came in I was reminded of Vern Gosden.
It has a good feel about it. John has a point about the 3rd verse.
Not even sure if my sugg is any better. Good song though, nevertheless.

I have caught myself.. talking out loud,
looking into places... faces in a crowd.
.. Its Me...and its straight to you..
What ever happened between us two? ..

Vic

It's never too late? Yes it is, so do it now.

If, given time, a monkey can write the complete works of Shakespeare maybe there's hope for me.

A very cool over all vibe in the performance and an excellent arrangement.
Love the bass and them tasty backing vocals.

thanks so much Deej, I`ve had this sitting around for months, finally finished writing, and re-writing it. I think I`m going to change the name, but I`ll do that as soon as I redo the song. thanks for stopping in and commenting. Lane

Hello Vic, Vern Gosden...geez I like that guy, I remember a song He finished..."That just about does it...Dont it"

or something like that, I`m already going to change that title I think.
thanks so much for the comment, and giving this a listen. I`ll keep trying to do a little better job with the vocals,
sometimes they are a little hard to listen to. Lane

Lane:

I really enjoyed my listen. I'm one of those guys who likes to read the lyric as the song is "delivered" so I switched back and forth as needed to assure I did not miss something important in the video. Thanks for sharing the song and belting out a vocal I wouldn't dare to attempt at my age. LOL!

You don't need any advice from me, my friend. The song has "good bones"... an attention grabbing title and I hope you will consider having a demo created when you believe the time is right. You write well and I wish you success with this one... and in all your endeavors.

All the best, ----Dave

Hi Dave glad you made it over and took time to comment and listen, I`m not sure I should be singing these songs either!
old timer like me ..you think I`d learn. When I got to a certain count I was stopping! I was there about 3mos ago, can`t seem to put it all away....lol Thanks again for commenting, and right back at you..all good things for you too my friend. Lane
