This is a finished production of my song Human Kindness. Vocals/Melody/piano - Jane Karwoski Mike Zaneski - production
Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.
Human Kindness
Verse
Goodness is a virtue That hides inside a drawer Sitting in my room Something I ignore
Indifference lays beside me When I go to sleep I get up in the morning It always follows me
Chorus
I need to try some human kindness Got to give it all I’ve got I owe it to myself And everybody else Oh human kindness
I need to try some human kindness Have to give it all I’ve got
Verse
When tragedy strikes others I hide in my cave Crouching in the dark Oh way be so afraid
Others need my help When they are alone I must stop wasting time And leave the safety of my home
Chorus
I need to try some human kindness Got to give it all I’ve got I owe it to myself And everybody else
I need to try some human kindness Got to give it all I’ve got
Bridge
Was only yesterday I had to bite my tongue Wasn't over something that I felt I done, So I turned my heart around in a good way Inner peace became the order of my day
Repeat Chorus

Nice one Jane! The guitar sounds a bit thready and I would give the overall mix a bit more room but, that’s just a matter of style... Well done!

Nice melody. Good structure. Good arrangement. I especially like the chorus
Maybe too many words in the bridge...
Have fun!

Hi Jane, Nice to hear one of your very own. It was very kind to my ears. We all need a good bit of human kindness. I find the more I give the more I get. Great theme, thanks for sharing.

What a lovely performance JaneK and a warm sentiment in the writing. And as always hats off to the maestro. Subtle fx made for quite a fun spin.

Jane,
It’s a really pretty tune . . . that chorus is an ear worm. Terrific job on the harmonies, Mr. Z. Jane, you should feel really good about this one. Compelling and impressive tune!
My best to you,
Deej

I always read the lyric before listening to a song and this one stood out making me eager to sit down and hear it. Good vocal, production, in fact your best to date Jane. Good luck with it John

Hey I missed this one. Been doing some listening, i havent listened to much stuff here lately.
This has a Cyndi Lauper feel to it. Almost an 80's style hook(missing persons maybe even 90's... no doubt) in the chorus. One thing that I thought it could use was a pre chorus. It seems to jump into the chorus too fast, at least the first time around. The second time around it feels natural for some reason.
Nice vocal, love the bridge. Nice work!

Hi Jane, I think it all works well, I like the subject, and the song sounds full to me. It might be the vocals, nice job! Lane

Hi Fdemetrio,
Thanks for listening and your suggestion about the prechorus. I love 80's and 90's music.
Hi Lane,
Thank you for listening and glad you liked it.

Lovely song, Jane.
If I was nit picking about the music I would say the bass is too busy and distracting, more so at the beginning. Maybe more held notes could be better. Apart from that? Great.
Vic.

Hi Vic,
Thanks so much for listening and your comments. I don't mind the "nit picking". It helps me get better so I appreciate any advice you have.

Hi Jane,
Well done! I enjoyed the music, lyrics and arrangement--you can't go wrong with Mike's production. Mike, do you have reverb on the master post fader, or just individual tracks, or both? (less could feel warmer) I felt the music tracks "may" have a tad more reverb than needed for this music vibe--listening with semi-open cans. Doesn't at all mean that I'm right on that assessment however.
Beautiful work you two!

Hi steady-eddie,
Thanks for the listen and nice comments. Glad you enjoyed my song. Didn't notice the reverb being a little much but I am not an expert on production right now, so I leave that to Mike.
