https://soundcloud.com/artwhimsically-yours/we-are-the-children-of-autumn-bySpring came with Eden a new world was born life was abundant and free Rains of creation caressed every nation men grew and spread like the sea….. Summer came quickly and stayed with the Earth as centuries of time passed on by….. Freedom was founded, men lived under gods and cities reached high to the sky…. But late in the Summer men turned from what’s right hate reigned with a fiery brand wars raged everywhere men killed without care pollution had poisoned the lands We are the children Of Autumn as season known most as the Fall Winter draws nigh, in it’s storms Earth will die if we do not prepare…one and all Winter will come without mercy evil will rule men and fear your God in his wrath will step down in it’s path and take all of his children from here. Woe to those caught in the middle Woe to the ones left behind they’ll be wishing for death with every breath but the Winter will stay for all time…….. We are the children Of Autumn a season known most as the Fall Winter draws nigh, in it’s storms Earth will die if we do not prepare…one and all we must rise as one… answer the call to make peace and bring hate to a halt there’s still time to correct all our flaws. lest we’re all left to scream in the squalls of a world that is left stripped and raw. Hi Matthew, If you have read, or heard any of mine, techno is not a genre I am too familiar with but I feel this. It is a well written lyric and the music suits it well. Personally, I would prefer to hear it sung, more than mostly spoken. I tried to sing along with it, and it is haunting. I like that. But up to you, like all my comments, KOS.

Matt,
Pretty cool lyrics, a modern Shakespearean soliloquy. I like your "operetta" approach here--and can imagine a more stereo dynamic orchestral arrangement with this which would really be cool and dramatic. I know, it's not cheap getting those wonderful tracks, but would really take this to the next level for sure.
Nice writing,
steady-eddie

Hey John Thanks for the listen and the comment, The vocals just sailed out of my mouth as i recorded it. There is room for a redo. I am glad you were moved by it. the music came from tokoyo and I had to record the vocals over my tascam dgital recorder.

Hey Eddy Thanks for the listen and the comment. I would love to see this song orchestrated to the max but I would also love to drive a Rolls Royce and suck caviear out of a blonde bombshells navel....But!!!!!??? I wrote the lyrics and vocals to a 15 year old stellar recording From Hajime who lives in Tokoyo Japan, He is thinking about re-recording the original from scratch and fitting it tighter to my vocals....so we'll see.

Matthew,
I think this is a fabulous piece. The lyrics are strong yet orderly and simple, and your delivery of them is nearly otherworldly and full of foreboding. The orchestral soundtrack is fitting. The whole thing has a weird, ominous vibe that really catches my ear. It's certainly not like any other song I've ever heard, at least none that come to mind at the moment. It's original, true to its own nature. I like it. Thanks for posting. ... David

Hey David, thanks so much for your listen and your comment. You have pretty much detailed in your comment what I was going for, a short synopsis of the history of the world, as compared to the seasons, a touch of Vincent Price and perhaps a ray of hope.if we all can make amends in so many wyas that we haven't. A man can dream....can't he??
