My specialty is helping songwriters finish songs and make them production ready to pitch to TV/Film opportunities or to artists. I know it can be challenging at times for lyricists and singer-songwriters to find musicians to work with. Please keep me in mind as a reasonable work-for-hire collaboration option, should the need arise. I charge only $100 US to create a full band arrangement of your lyric and then I'll mix in the vocal and produce a great-sounding master. I work with some awesome vocalists who charge $75 - $120 per song. So the total is about $200. You would keep all the rights to the song. I'll keep you in the loop to approve each stage of the song creation process. I can also point you to companies that you can submit your songs to for TV sync opportunities. Work samples - https://soundcloud.com/larrymagee/sets/production-examples and here are my 70+ songs that have been used on TV and in films. https://soundcloud.com/larrymagee/sets/songs-used-in-film-tv References available. Please reply to me at larrymagee@yahoo.com Regards,

Welcome to JPF Larry. I listened to several of your productions. Sounds very well done. I'll keep you in mind. Will you sign a waiver against any future claims to the song? You may wish to participate in some of these threads. When the folks here get to know you better, they may be more interested. Best, John

Hi John. So nice to meet you. Thanks for the feedback about the songs you heard and thank you for the idea about participating in some of the threads. I and the singers I work with will sign waivers against any future claims to songs. We are strictly work-for-hire. Best...

Nice resume! Don’t suppose you’d let us in on your secret for how to find legitimate work...?

Actually, it is pretty simple. Join Taxi.com and do everything they say to do (write, submit, repeat). Best Wishes....

I have taken courses in film and media studies. But the pitching part is what I am looking at. I have been to music sites to look at various influences. Everyone where I live in TV and radio wants to hang on to their jobs. I only live in a mid sized market and am not ready to move. I have been looking at doing something with audio and video freelance. I have been considering TAXI but leave that open.

Hi Larry:
I don't know how I missed your introductory post but "Welcome to JPF" and best wishes for success. Glad to know you are "just down the road" from scenic and lovely Glen Rose. Your initial pitch to us is that you assist lyricists but I wonder if you also work with prolific songwriters who create their own lyrics, melodies and recordings? I have a catalog of more than 1000 recorded songs but am reaching the age where my vocals require way too much editing, attention and/or re-recording. Additionally, many of my songs need a female demo artist... or can be performed by either, a male or female singer.
I also sometimes create different versions of songs in more than one genre for more marketing opportunities.
It has been a while since this thread has seen activity... so, I'll send you an e-mail to do some further exploring.
So glad you are nearby and participating. See you soon.
----Dave Rice

Just a note to let folks here know... Larry just completed a demo of a song I wrote a few years ago for me. I explained what vocal style I preferred and in no time at all, he had several to choose from. We decided on Sam MacGregor and in less than a week (if my memory still functions properly) the project was done. Larry allowed me to "insert the thermometer" of communications every step of the way and is a pleasure to work with.
Many of you here were in the same boat as me when Mike Zee decided to do something else besides Demos. I was really sad to lose a great resource... but was so pleased to have another Pro Demo Service available to us.
Larry has a SoundCloud account and "Spring Bank Ferry" is now posted there for any of you to hear... and there is a link from him at the top of this thread. They did a great job and I am pleased.
Best wishes to all of you, ----Dave

Hi All, I just had a song done by Larry and I am very pleased with the results. He is very easy to work with and did the song just as I asked. It is a song I wrote for my newest lady love, "My Jeodelie". The link: https://www.soundclick.com/music/songInfo.cfm?songID=14102920 Thanks Larry, John

Hi John. I didn't realize you used this site, too. Your song was really fun to work on. Has Jeodelie heard it yet or are you waiting until you can see her in person? Larry https://soundcloud.com/larrymagee/sets/production-examples
