Rock this life
Life is good, considering the following:
I don’t owe bookies money on a bet,
I got a place to sleep and food to eat,
I thank God I ain’t dead yet.
Sure, I’m broke, with pennies in my pocket,
Sure, my gigs, they hardly pay at all,
But life is good, and now it’s time to rock it;
It’s time to soar up high before we fall.
Let’s rock this life, let’s celebrate,
Let’s light up ‘till we burn;
Let’s rock this life, all day, all night,
And watch the seasons turn.
Let’s rock this life, let’s live out loud,
Every boy ‘n girl,
Let’s rock this life, let’s rock this joint,
And then let’s rock the world.
You got a job that hardly pays a wage,
She’s got a husband doesn’t seem to care,
Shakespeare said that all this life’s a stage,
But thank God there’s no curtain anywhere…yet.
We play our parts, we live our lonely lives,
And sometimes we forget to rock at all,
Caught up in our own bitter regretting,
‘Till at the end our curtain finally falls.
(We gotta change all that)
Let’s rock this life, let’s celebrate,
Let’s light up ‘till we burn;
Let’s rock this life, all day, all night,
And watch the seasons turn.
Let’s rock this life, let’s live out loud,
Every boy ‘n girl,
Let’s rock this life, let’s rock this joint,
And then let’s rock the world.
Do you wanna rock life or just live it,
Rock the boat, play the game, score the winning point?
Do you wanna rock life or just live it,
Spaced out on a joint?
This is the time to rock the world,
This is the time to care,
This is the time to rock the world,
‘Cause empty silence is too much to bear.
Let’s rock this life, let’s celebrate,
Let’s light up ‘till we burn;
Let’s rock this life, all day, all night,
And watch the seasons turn.
Let’s rock this life, let’s live out loud,
Every boy ‘n girl,
Let’s rock this life, let’s rock this joint,
And then let’s rock the world.

I think this could work! Philosophical Songs usually don't work for me, perhaps because they come across as a 'Narrator' elucidation. But this Lyric seems to cross over with a sense of a Singer-Character, philosophizing with smile and a boisterous invitation in the Chorus. I think it could work.
There will always be another song to be written. Someone will write it. Why not you? www.garyeandrews.com

Hi Grace, First one of yours I've read and it reads very well, It's well thought out, easy to sing. It all works for me.
