I sure miss hearing songs like this on the radio being sung by the likes of Alan Jackson and George Strait. This is a song that I originally wrote a few years back, but this summer I decided it was due for a rewrite and new demo. The vocalist is my buddy Brent Rader with Jenee Fleenor playing fiddle and Tyler Hall on steel. I have been asked if the final verse is referring to death or breakup, which is the kind of feedback I was hoping to get because I purposely wrote it to be left to the listener's discretion. Not everyone has the same story in life, and not everything needs to be spelled out. Just my opinion. I hope to have the opportunity to pitch it to both George and Alan somewhere down the road.

Hi Marvin...
I'm not much in to Country Music, I did like this song though. The singing , the composition and recording/production... Professionally done.
Do you usually go in to the studio to do your songs and does it cost much?
Good luck with it
Mimmo

Marvin, the demo, like all your demos, sounds professional, and expensive, haha. You mentioned George and Alan. I don't wanna sound negative yet again, but those guys are pitched 10, 000 love songs a week written by Music Row pros, and that's not counting their regular go-to writers. There are so, so many love songs. So many. Strait doesn't write but Jackson does. In order to bypass the pro pubs who play golf with their producers, your love song will have to be way better than Music Row McLove songs. Or the ones Jackson writes for himself.

Maybe you can afford those demos. If so, great. It's just that,
there's SO many love songs...

Morning, Marvin:

This one will fit the singing style of either of these great Male Country Artists. Your "demo team" hit a home run for you. I've always thought that "leaving an ending" or part of the song to the imagination of the listener is a good move. Fans with the ability to interpret the hidden message tend to be fans for a long, long time.

Best of luck with the pitching. I really like the song and look forward to hearing it on the radio soon.

All the best, ----Dave
