Hi Bob,
It's a great story-song, worthy of a Robert Earl Keen Jr. and in that Texas-folkish outlaw kinda tradition..
I like how the verse lines are a bit wordy, up to the tag, and then the tag is compact. That's unexpected and very cool!
The trumpets aren't very realistic to my ears, but the song itself is a gem, and your voice in tons better than Keen's.
Mike

Hi Bob I love the simplicity of this. Great laid-back vocals and peppy tempo . Perfect length - tell your story and get off the stage! Enjoyed it muchly Paul

Enjoyed my listen, Bob:
Cute song with a clever story line. It would play well in the one honky-tonk we have here in West Mayberry... LOL! Thanks for sharing and best of luck with it.
----Dave Dave, Thanks for the listen and kind comments. Regards, Bob

Bob.
Definitely a fun uptempo song. Great vocals and yes I think there is room to improve the brass, which gives it that SW Mexican vibe for sure. If you don't have access to a better brass track, maybe someone around here could probably get you a more realistic brass track which I do think fits nicely in what you've written and arranged.
Enjoyed your song!
steady-eddie Eddie, Thanks for the listen. The horns were from Dimension Pro, which I realize is rather dated. Regards, Bob
