This song is meant to highlight some of those serious things that happen in this world, we see them, we sympathize but perhaps do not help in finding solution. What do you think?
JUST A LITTLE BIT OF LOVE Chorus Just a little bit of love Can uplift the human soul Just a little bit of love Can heal the wounds of a broken heart Or ease the pain of a troubled mind Just a little bit of love can be of great help Just a little bit of love Is all we need to give
Verse One Have you ever imagined being a refugee Or how life is living with H.I.V. Think of that street kid out in the chilly night Crying by the streetlight What if you lived below the poverty line Or were the victim of a violent crime And there was no one to turn to No one to understand what you’ve been through
Chorus Just a little bit of love Can uplift the human soul Just a little bit of love Can heal the wounds of a broken heart Or ease the pain of a troubled mind Just a little bit of love can be of great help Just a little bit of love Is all we need to give
Verse Two Suppose you were that orphan who's been refused Beaten, mistreated and sexually abused Suppose you were wrongfully jailed Cause the judge was paid Think of those who survived a genocide The trauma they have to bear deep inside If there's no one to turn to No one to understand what they've been through
Chorus Just a little bit of love Can uplift the human soul Just a little bit of love Can heal the wounds of a broken heart Or ease the pain of a troubled mind Just a little bit of love can be of great help Just a little bit of love Is all we need to give

Frankie, You are so right. It's the little things that really matter, and while , medicines and Doctors help , a little Love is best and even better with a healthy dose of understanding. Looking forward to the rest... Pete
Here we are wracking our brains today to write lyrics that rhyme and if we succeed, they'll end up in time as tommorrow's cliche's... Pete

Hi Pete Thanks for your comments. I just do not know what I was thinking when this song came to mind..but I found myself just repeating the phrase "Just a little bit of love". Then I started thinking..what if I was the one in trouble and I had no love? Then I managed to connect with the verses and add a little metre and rhyme. What do you think now? Can you just put yourself in the shoes of these people? How does it feel? <font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Originally posted by TheGuyWhowouldn'tSignHisN: Frankie, You are so right. Frankie, That's nice , mon! I can think of just a little tweak: Can heal the wounds of broken (Hearts) Yes , Frankie I can put myself in the place of the People of Africa and I think , if it's okay with you , I'm writing a Continental Anthem of Africa. Since I'm new to the writing thing and especially the music. The tune comes out like "Smoke gets in your Eyes" , "Pretoria , My Home" with some of "Blow the man down" and , if I'm not mistaken "Fur Elise" . I wouldn't espwecially try to sing it myself because of not being able to carry a tune in a bushell-basket thren , there's the legal bit of copyrights, but ; I'll put the words down , if you like. It's a real pleasure to "talk " with you , Frankie. It's also nice to see the internet put to a use other than selling junk , pop-ups and identity theft. Wouldn't be fair not to mention that "jpf" making it all possible. ps You posted this one twice by mistake , no doubt. If you ask the bards will remove one copy , people tend to get uneasy... Be talking with you , Brother Pete

Hi Pete
It is great talking to you too. Thanks for the emotional support. The African Anthem song idea sounds great. I am a singer too so if you may need an African to do the song you can count on me. I wrote this song actually to focus on those bad things that happen in our world ..that people see but do not care to do uch about..another conscious lyric..I hope it goes a long way in trying to make people see things through common eyes. I have altered the line as you say..it does not affect the metre! Keep it positive brother!
