Fresh from the guitars this lil ditty from me. I wrote it to a brief, so it is what it is. But perhaps some of you 60s buffs can dig it?
Song down for maintenance.. thanks.

I like the gutsy vocal versus a slick one. It gives the tune OOOMMMPH or conojes or "Balls of Fire" if you will. And that separates it from what I was expecting...Nce job
A piano in the 2nd verse accompaniment would be really, really cool.
I mean really cool

Hi Magne, I don't think I recall you letting go and singing with so much grit! It really works, here. It's pretty smooth sounding, musically. By design I imagine, but I could imagine more punch in the guitar that's stabbbing on every 4th beat in the 6/8 meter and the snare a little punchier. Just me..great mix and arrangement overall. Very enjoyable. Mike

Thanks for the very awesome comments, Steve and Mike!
Yeah a piano would be nice, Steve. Im not a good piano player, though, soo tough one. Might struggle to find a spot along with the backing vocals. But for changing it up, yeah.
Mike, well probably too much of a rock vocal on a 60s pop arrangement. I seem to enjoy singing with the natural compression of the notes, but it doesnt work with everything. Experimenting and muddling through here.. I have to be careful with guitar noodling on licensing tracks yeah, so Im trying to make it seem “planned” haha
Appreciate it guys! Great day to ya.

Kolstad,
Your vocals turned out really great on this mix - I've always liked the smooth sounds of the 60's music scene but your deliverance of the song makes this one shine.

Thanks for listening and commenting, JaneK. Im actually proud of my backing vocals on this. It's the first song where I've done this well.
Appreciate it!
