To double my pitch ops at minimal expense, I sometimes track both a male and female demo of a song while we are in the studio. On this song we were able to track the instruments in a key that worked well for both the female and male demo singer so that gave me two demos for little more than the price of one. This is Tim Buppert on vocals and he always does an outstanding job. Thanks for listening! https://frettie.com/track_detail/2638

I love it when a good plan "comes together"... and saving money on a demo is a tough act to follow, Marvin:
I've read stories about highly successful songwriters who did and still do "double demos" (Male and Female vocals) but being able to get it done using the same track is just super. Buppert, as always, does you a fantastic job on this great song. Best wishes for success... it deserves airplay and recognition.
Proud of you, my friend.

Thanks Dave, and I am working on creating a female demo using a track with a male vocal on it currently to also double my pitch ops for that song. I will post it once I find the right vocalist.

Marvin,
Great hook! You are such an amazing lyricist. How can you beat a good production from a studio? The singer is really good and emotes the lyric really well. I wonder if I, as a woman would connect more to the song of a woman liberated if a woman sang it....that is a thought that did come to me...I think it is a great idea to try both and see which one takes. One suggestion, I like the "dialing" at the end, but it is pretty loud, if you do another version, I would be aware of how loud it is because it is a bit piercing" Just my opinion. Always a pleasure to listen to your songs Marvin, they are always top notch!!

Thanks Tammy for listening, and I agree about the volume of the dial tone at the end of the song being to loud, but it's an easy fix. Here is a link to the female vocal of this song if you want to listen: https://frettie.com/track_detail/1339Marvin
