An "old fashioned" raw Blues Song which feels like a song you'd hear someone playing on old wooden front porch somewhere in the deep South! I like the down to earth vibe you have going on, simple lyrics yet effective.

I met a WWII veteran who was 95 yrs of age the other day on a business appt. With his permission I took his picture and recorded him with me asking him questions about his service in the South Pacific Isl campaign during WWII. He spoke so fluently about embedded memories--I love talking to old folks about their lives for sure--your song has embraces that important respect that we should all have for our elders, as they love to reminisce and share their experiences about the "Olden Days."

Nice melody and delivery for these lyrics which works here with your Ukulele. Spicing up the arrangement I think would take away from the special bluesy feel of the song. I agree with steady-eddie - love the down to earth vibe.
