GINA
As she glides across the floor
Moving ever so softly
All the people stop and stare
When Gina starts dancing
A thousand moves, and the wings...
The wings of an Angel
How can a common man
Dance with such a real beauty

Gina lights up the room
every time she goes dancing
Leaves all of the younger men
with dreams of romancing
As she takes to the floor
She is so lonely
Wonders where is the man
Who will ask her to dance

Gina feels like a dancing Queen
Yet the young men all fear her
They're to shy to make a scene
So they never go near her
Every night she goes home
So sad and lonely
She brings people much joy
But has none for herself

Gina lights up the room
every time she goes dancing
Leaves all of the younger men
with dreams of romancing
As she takes to the floor
She is so lonely
Wonders where is the man
Who will ask her to dance

Her smile will melt your heart
Yet her eyes show such sadness
And alone in a crowded room
She must deal with the madness

Gina lights up the room
every time she goes dancing
Leaves all of the younger men
with dreams of romancing
As she takes to the floor
She is so lonely
Wonders where is the man
Who will ask her to dance

Hi Mimmo:

An elegant cha cha if I've ever heard one! Nice write and arrangement. Billy did a nice job with the mix, too. I'm amazed that a group so small could produce a sound so large... and nice. Enjoyed, my friend. ----Dave

Thank you guys for listening...

Dave:
Billy did a great job with the addition of the horns section among other parts and his mixing ability is also great.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Mimmo,

Beautiful song and arrangement. Killer horns and piano fills, and I like your voice on this very much, you feel very comfortably in the pocket and great. modest vibrato.

Something I could imagine a modern Bobby VInton making their own.

In the chorus I could imagine feeling the 2 and 4 really HARD, like with a 'verb'd-out snare on at least one chorus, and your vocals just a tad louder and more authoritative in the chorus, especially the last which gets lost in the music a bit.

Loved it!

Mike

Hi Mike...
Thanks for listening and your comments.
I always thought the vocal track could have been a bit more forward, unfortunately, not too much I can do now, I don't have the seps and don't see much of Billy in a while. This song was a great collaboration.
Regards
Mimmo

Haven't been to a ballroom yet where any woman who "lights up the room" didn't have a steady string of partners waiting their turn.

I do remember many dance nights where all the young men would stand on the side looking at a young beautiful woman,
and most were too shy and never went over to ask her to dance.

This is a fun tune. Has that latin ballroom dance feel to it and the arrangement is stellar.

The vocal was excellent and great production all and all.
