For all those ladies who love bad boys...
Lucifer was beautiful before he fell Cast out of heaven by the archangels Michael and Gabriel and all the seraphim Wept a storm in Heaven at the loss of him
And I have sinned I have turned away from light and kept on walking Though I knew it wasn’t right I wasn’t blind; I knew the reason for it all But with my black-eyed Lucifer I gloried in my fall
I was just a young girl when I began to stray Slipping out the back door and turning night to day People stared and whispered, they pointed and condemned But I just kept on running and paid no heed to them
Oh Lucifer I have seen you face to face and known full measure Your fall from grace You made the night seem like velvet in my hands Left me wanting more than I could ever understand
Once I had a young boy and oh, I loved him so Taught me all about the things that good girls shouldn’t know How was I to tell he was the Devil in disguise? Paradise was just a place that I saw in his eyes
Oh Lucifer Now I know why Michael weeps in heaven The dark’s not ours to keep You made the night seem like velvet in my hands Left me wanting more than I could ever understand
I have come to terms with what others call my fate Learned that there is more to life than merely love and hate Each man has a soul composed of black and white And each pathway is crooked and neither wrong nor right
So if I’ve sinned If I turned away from light and kept on walking You know it was my right I wasn’t blind; I knew the reason for it all But with my black-eyed Lucifer I gloried in my fall
Lucifer was beautiful before he fell…

Hmmm.... How about, "I knew the devil by another name"?

"When will we all, as artists, creators and facilitators learn that the so-called experts in our lives are nothing more than someone who has stepped forward and called themselves an expert?" –Brian Austin Whitney
