What Does It Take? (Neil Cotton)
How much do you want to know? We’re just having coffee I ‘m not sure what I should share All of or some of me
I think you are interested Cause you smiled when we met
What does take to build a trust, Pushing beyond them to us. Is it time or honesty From me to you, you t’ me. What does take to fall in love? Pushing beyond them to us.
Your dark eyes are disarming So let me jump and say I like songs and fast dancing And to play most games
Not the one of hiding feelings I think secrets are demeaning
What does take to build a trust, Pushing beyond them to us. Is it time or honesty From me to you, you t’ me. What does take to fall in love? Pushing beyond them to us.
~B Yes I realize I’m doing all the talking But I’m afraid you might find me boring I don’t want to take that chance. Did I say your eyes are disarming.
What does take to build a trust, Pushing beyond them to us. Is it time or honesty From me to you, you t’ me. What does take to fall in love? Pushing beyond them to us.

I like this Neil,
I like that hes having a conversation, an honest heart to heart and the wonder of it all.
I really like the bridge, particularly the last line where he repeats himself.

“I ‘m not sure what I should share All of or some of me”
That’s my favorite line in this, Neil. It really goes to the idea that the guy is not sure what to say, or how much to say. I think many of us have experienced this when fumbling our way towards a new relationship.
Nice write!
