I saw that video before. The power of music should be explored more thoroughly. It has a power to connect with people and bring them back to good times in their past. God communicates with people through music. Many people get saved through a message delivered through music. It touches both body and soul. The many variations in tempos, tones and sounds makes music a perfect instrument to reach people on all levels of moods. Music can make you cry, laugh, dance, sing, praise and lull you off to sleep. Yet music is taken for granted that it will always be there which cheapens it. If we don't place more value to it, why would young people want to take time to learn it, when there are so many other things to attract their attention. If you can write, play and sing music, be proud that you can, if you can use it to touch others with it, be prouder still. You may never get rich with it, it will even cost you money, but what hobby does not cost you money. It is a gift from God, a gift of different degrees of abilities, but use it to the best of your ability and be happy, make others happy, make God happy.

Now I remember. In a publication I have, if I remember correctly. it's been soo long, music was played for cows giving milk. It was discovered the cows gave more milk when Classical Music was played more than any other. Now what was the question?

Ray, when I first arrived in the Netherlands some years ago, I was told about a local farmer who had a piano in his barn. He used to play classical music to his cows each evening. Maybe that explains in part why some of the best cheese is Dutch.

I'll see if our local library here in "West Mayberry" has those titles. The "Classical Cows" story has been around for quite some time... but a Dairy Farmer with a piano in his barn is worth a video... if we can only get somebody to take time and effort to produce it. (If FAWM isn't over yet... you have a winner for a song!)

I wonder how those cows would respond (in milk production) if he played Waylon and Willie's song, "Good Hearted Woman?"

My mother had Alzhimers. She was in a care home for 7 years before she died last month. One of the last things to go was her ability to play her favorite songs on the piano. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to hear about your mother. Alzheimer's is a bad disease for both the patient and the family. I wrote a song about it to try and describe it devastating results on everyone involved.
