Heya,
Could anyone hook me up with some decent free VST effects plugins? I want to experiment with my mixes and would love to load up and try as many as possible.
Thanks.

Whoa thanks for these, Mark! They all seem like decent resources for free VSTs. During my own google search I stumbled across this list of some 55 free VST plugins: https://techraver.com/best-free-vst-plugins/There are some pretty good ones on that list too. Gotta spend the next few days and try all of these beauties. Good Lord!

Beware of overload...after awhile, it's easy to lose track of how many weird synthesizers you've loaded into your DAW, and wondering whether Juicy Planets or Blue Eggnog is an appropriate sound for your track, looking through a list of hundreds of oddball sounds and names. What DAW are you using? I've just made the jump from Cubase 5 to Cubase 10.

is Spitfire the same company that makes the compressors and de essers, gates? Probably...I've only just learned about them. My link goes to their "Labs" tab with some cool free VSTs, but they also have a product page.

Yeah I will stick to the best ones (probably around a dozen or so) once I've tried all of them out. As for the DAW, I started out with GarageBand and only recently made the switch to Reaper.
