A pleasant melody Neil and yes the vocal goes a bit awry but a good song . I think the forum is slow with regulars being told by their wives/ husbands to stop messing about writing songs and join in the real world preparing for Christnas. Well that's what i was told anyway

Neil, I see what you were trying to do there in the chorus, using those minor chords when the lyric changed in emotion,
But for my ear those chords are not working as far as being musically fit.
I also think its hard for people to hear your tune when the vocal is so far off, maybe im that rare breed who can hear it....
It's ok, sounds like u enjoyed doing it

"But for my ear those chords are not working as far as being musically fit." Means that your idea for the minor chords there were pretty clever, but the actual chords in those spots dont sound right. It could be that your melody is off

Neil,
I’m sorry I’m late to this one . . . with the holidays coming on I’ve had so little opportunity to spend time listening. I like the inspiration on this one—hate those Harleys, myself. Production wise, that vocal does need to come forward some and seems too muffled. I really like the piano track you have going on this one. Maybe just a bit of harmony on that chorus as well??? Something to think about. Keep working it, Neil!
My kind regards,
Deej

Deej thanks Deej...never in stone...if I get inspired, I'll get back at it as it does need some work, and based yours and others, the feedback is good.
