"The Same Remains The Same"-Copyright 2018 M.Healey
People call me lucky and I can't think what to say Once it was amusing but to-day is not the day How lucky can I be till I can lift this weight Feels like bad is comin' like a fist in the face
I kept my hand in I played the game I'm not a number I'm not a name I vote I don't The same remains the same
You state your claim Keep in your lane
I don't know from omens I suck at reading signs I'd like to work at nothing but that job is hard to find So I'll just carry on until they repossess my mind Maybe then I'll open up but who can find the time
I got the levels I played the game What ever happened What ever changed I vote I don't The same remains the same
Don't call my name I've gone insane
Least that's how it seems to me seein' people on their knees Praising some celebrity hoping for that destiny Like that's a goal they have to meet where the hell is dignity Hiding out with sympathy? Lost beneath the money tree? Then you mention therapy and I say you're long in need All a joke you'll laugh you'll see if you can get up to speed It's fun and games reality unless you sell your soul for free I'm always troubled when I see The lovelies crawling with the sleaze
I got the levels I played the game Ain't gonna change I vote I don't The same remains the same
I'm done that game If it's all the same
Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same Same same same same same same same same same ____________________________________________________

Hi Mike. Reading through, it reminds me of one of those old music hall songs sung by a comedian with a battered hat and red nose but I think you have an alternative version in mind. Smile material it certainly is.

I resonate Neil's sentiment. Definitely exudes frustration at its pinnacle. The lack of vulgarity to emphasize points is a refreshing change to what I read (or even write myself sometimes). :-) Good job on "dialing it back" while still being explicit.
Peace,
Dave
