Mike Zaneski production song lyric and melody by myself I wrote the song one cold and miserable English morning to get miles away in my head from the gloom of winter. As Quasimodo once did, listen for the bells https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13717273Everfree V We'd set a course following the sun Started to snow when our journey begun Donated clothes and things we won't use sailed free from bad news and attitudes V We'd food and water to last many days guitar n' mandolin to pass time away Renamed our boat the Lovely Abigail she dipped raised and smiled as she sailed C Bound for an Island called Everfree it's not on any chart, never will be It's a secret Isle that nobody knows magic Isle of Everfree with sands of silver and gold V Hoped to drop anchor by Christmas Day. Abie gave me a card that she'd made Soft salty kisses as we danced on waves. I'll remember that moment always B A thunder storm blew up in the night the sea was angry but come daylight The sun appeared the ocean grew calm as our Island came into sight, on that Christmas morn V Palm trees, fresh water, if we want fIsh for tea theres enough for our needs out in the sea We could build a home high in the trees like the Swiss Family Robinson on Everfree C And it's Christmas Day and we're forever free______

Morning T and Zee:
I just listened... liked what I heard... but it took a while for me to really get into the song. The old "adage"... "Get to the Chorus... or even start with it"... seems to apply here. Forgive me if I sound picky but that's my "take" and I'm sticking with it. Nicely written and as always, Mike's vocal and production are so darn good. Enjoyed. ----Dave

Another fantastic tune guys. Catchy as can be. It had me humming the tune after I finished listening. Very Jimmy Buffet, islandy, beach, summertime lyric. Totally enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed that. It somehow took me back to the 1960s, Really strong structure and melody, and the arrangement is delightful.

Very pretty song. I particularly enjoyed the clarity of the mix. Someone mentioned the 1960's. As soon as it started, David Partridge came to mind. That's not a knock. He was good at what he did.

Travis,
I could swear I commented on this one before--but, if not, shame on me. This is just a wonderful listen--beautifully produced (no surprise with Mr. Zaneski behind the wheel). Really enjoyed listening to this one (again, I think).
Cheers,
Deej

Thanks John/Mike,
Just what I needed, as I've been feeling a bit depressed lately, not sure why, just a little burnt out with work I suppose--winter will bring me more leisure time! The song really is produced with great musical mood influence--the song carries you away to that magical place Everfree. Loved it musically, lyrically, and just made me feel good!
